Devious Devices DDa DDe DDi - Are they still alive?

Hello Community. I just wanted to ask, and know, if Devious Devices is still alive.

 

The Image in the Expansion, for example, is broken.

 

Are the mods still alive? Are the Authors still there and working on?

 

I'd just wish for some more clarity or a Title update to [Abandoned] or [Halted].

Not too long ago (7th of Sept.) Devious Devices Assets was updated to 2.9.2. So i believe there's still at least some activity there.

I also believe not all of the modders working on DD are still accounted for, but i am not sure on the who's, what's and wheres so i wont go in further on that to prevent any unnecessary confusion.

As far as I know they are being kept compatible with updates to slab/zaz and the like. No new features at this moment so basically just maintenance updates when needed.

This. The mods are in "maintenance mode". The former maintainer of DDX has retired, and the author of DDA hasn't been around in a long time either. Min is maintaining all three mods for the time being, but he's committed to bugfixes and quality of life updates only. It is not very likely to see large new features added to either of these mods.

 

That being said, DD development still happens in the content mods and new BDSM content, features and items are still being added to mods like Captured Dreams or my own mod. As for new items, Dasha is creating awesome new models for her own DD asset library. Angelii has released a pack with new models as well.

 

In short, we're probably seeing more new DD content than ever, just not in the framework.

yeah, it's pretty much maintenance releases atm. although there have been a few new mods that build on the framework such as Dasha's Devious Toys or Angeli Devious Expansion. And a few standing mods that are still actively maintained and updated such as Aradia Devious Devices Integrated which just got an update to version 2 and Deviously Cursed Loot which has an update to version 5 pending. So it's all but dead.

"Dead" makes it sound like something bad is going on. That framework has a lot of devices, and there are basically no problems with how stuff is implemented (except maybe the corset). What more is there to add?
