Fallout 3 - Blood Ties Quest finishes on its own

I killed Vance and every Member of "The Familiy" expect Ian..

Talked with Ian, gave him the letter etc.. you know what happends.

Anyway.. after all this i have to go back to Evan King. However.. as soon i get to this point of the quest, it finishes on its own.. or better said, it's marked as done, all steps are checked as done, eventho i didn't even leave the base of "The Family" yet. I also don't get the "Quest finished" notification.

 

So i went to Evan anyway, but all i can say to him is "Goodbye".. same with Lucy West.

 

So i reloaded back to a savegame before i killed Vance, because all the other ones after this had this Quest marked as done already.

Killed Vance again, killed all Members of "The Family".. this time i killed Ian (it was an accident .__.).

Anyway.. the same. After Ian was dead, the Quest was marked as done again.

 

Here is the question..

Before i killed Vance i experienced massive lag when opening menus, the Pip-boy etc.

So i installed a Mod called "Yet another Purge Cell Buffer Plugin". There are many of those kind but this one had the best "reviews".

 

Could this be the reason?

 

 

I'm using Mod Organizer for Fallout 3 btw.

Killing the Family prior to talking to Evan terminates the Quest. If you are bent upon killing the Family then do it after talking to Evan. As a matter of fact, I would wait until you get the Blood Pack Perk.
