SweetrollStealer Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Hi there! So I've got an OC and I would really like to recreate him in Skyrim...problem is, all the men in skyrim are too burly and scruffy...which isn't a BAD thing, not at all, it's just not how I envision my guy. No matter what I do in the character creation, I cannot get a male to look the way I want. What I'm aiming for is TERA male high elf....if there is ANYTHING, any preset, and race....anything to get me to make something close to this I would really appreciate it ; - ; Thank you!! Basically, pretty looking male race, but not too pretty that it looks like a girl....yknow?
Ixum Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 You can get close with the right body mod and textures... I did this Castanic look-a-like using SAM and my own texture mod
Guest Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He looks awesome. As I'm familiar with elf race, they all looks feminine They are only ugly in Dragon age 2 & 3. You did a great job. I wish you luck in creating elf male race. I'm so sorry for not being able t help you in this, but would surely love to have your final "product".

GimmeBACON Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Not trying to take over the thread, but, I don't think there's a mod that gives altmer a human head, so unless you know how to do that or can find a guide, I'd recommend downloading a separate race mod, like Ningheim, so that your character will look unique.

I haven't try it yet, but i think you could give altmer a human head by importing a human head mesh to altmer with Racemenu's sculpt.

I suppose you can try it and tell OP if you feel so inclined to do so. Personally I like the way skyrim elves look, but they look nothing like what OP wishes.
SweetrollStealer Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 No no, you I think you misunderstand. I am looking for a new custom RACE that has the appearance of the High Elf Male from TERA. I don't have any issue with how Skyrim's Elves look (as I said in my original post) : Hi there! So I've got an OC and I would really like to recreate him in Skyrim...problem is, all the men in skyrim are too burly and scruffy...which isn't a BAD thing, not at all, it's just not how I envision my guy. I have no issue with how they look, it's just *not* how one of my personal characters, that I use for RP/D&D is meant to look. Sorry I'm very bad at explaining things, but basically I am looking for a new race that looks "pretty" to make something similar to the picture I posted. Not trying to take over the thread, but, I don't think there's a mod that gives altmer a human head, so unless you know how to do that or can find a guide, I'd recommend downloading a separate race mod, like Ningheim, so that your character will look unique. I'm not trying to replace heads, but rather I'm looking for a new race, but thank you though! I will look into the Ningheim race and see if I can manipulate it to look how I want I'm bad at making male characters but I'll try, and let you know how it turns out~! Thanks ^.^ http://modtype.doorblog.jp/archives/44028752.html Something like him? Just follow to site, translate, pick and choose what you want out of it, and you should get the desired effect. Maybe I just need to find a good race and then study the facial features and try my damnest to get it as close as possible, because so far I haven't been able to with male vanilla races I have more mods for females and only 1 or two for males. I don't want to change every male in the game because I like how they look, so... Thank you!

If the head mesh from that follower mod has the same polycount as the vanilla head mesh, you could import his head to your character using Racemenu's sculpt, that'll save you lots of time trying to recreate that follower. All that is left is to rip the face textures from that follower mod and copy it to where your favorite custom race's face textures is located.

That sounds like a good idea but I'm afraid I lack the knowledge/skill. I'm not good with modding...all I can do is copy and paste files ^-^; Thank you, though, but I think I'll just have to do it the hard way.

The method that i told you are actually only involves copy-pasting files lol. The only hard part of importing custom follower's head mesh to player character is when it's head mesh and face textures are stored inside a bsa file, honest!
GimmeBACON Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I just realized how much time I put into something I didn't even care about. You had better put up pictures of your character when you're done.
SweetrollStealer Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 I just realized how much time I put into something I didn't even care about. Well I put four years into highschool and I didn't give a shit about that, so everyone's gotta waste some time at some point in their lives! And don't worry, I will But this is harder than I thought; I had to uninstall the Ningheim race because it messed up my menu, so I'll just try to work with what I have ^^ Thank you!
GimmeBACON Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Did you download the requirements for the mod, because I have no idea what the Ningheim race would be incompatible with. There are still alternative race mods to work with, including the custom races mod, which allows you to have a nord or altmer that's unique from everybody else. Regardless, i would still recommend getting the Ningheim mod to work, because it's very good

GimmeBACON Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Did you d/l the follower I linked to you? I don't know if the file is compressed or not, but either way you can still follow the steps in the video to copy his head, just it's going to require a few more steps if the files aren't loose.
