D_ManXX2 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Blue screen hang stating please do not turn off pc.. This is already up 3 hours and it only required to install new update from 1.5 mb Why is microshit so stupid that they have no easier way of updating without even rebooting pc. What do i do know do is have to reinstall windows or do i go into another bad day of reverting my pc into previous state witch will also take several hours to complete..
skyrimsucks Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 there is a saying, "if something works dont fix it". most of the updates are not properly tested (kinda like vaccinations) so they use public as lab rats. turn automatic updates off and install new components manually when needed.
NickNozownik Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Just like skyrimsucks said - turn off automatic updates. If you need to update something then do it manually. It will take you less time and you'll have much easier time fixing it if something goes wrong. Windows update sucks.

If you have actual blue screen (dump screen with stop error code) then system is already halted, I have never seen one say do not turn off system while in that screen except maybe during memory dump, after that you have to turn off yourself. Once system is off you have 2 options I would try: 1. Boot system and press F8 > Advanced Options > Last know Good Configuration 2. System Restore from Command Prompt and roll back to before update > https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/304449 Hope that helps sorry it may be to late and after the fact
