wr1 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hey folks, I've been away from playing Skyrim for about 6 months. Before, I was able to run FNIS using Mod Organizer. Now, I cannot. Could a recent upgrade to Windows 10 have caused the problem? FNIS runs if I run it through windows.
wr1 Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Did you get the 5.5 fix? I believe I did. Would that be a new executable that is in its own rar file and which supposedly fixes 2 issues? I tried both that executable, and the original 5 5 executable, but got exactly the same error.

I tried to install .NET 4.6 but the installer gave me an error that I had the wrong version of Windows. (As I mentioned I have Windows 10). None of the .net frameworks specify that they are compatible with Windows 10 when I check the MS website. I looked a little more closely and found, "Windows 10 comes with .NET Framework 4.6 pre-installed, so installing this package is not necessary. This package is not applicable for and cannot be installed on Windows 10." (Source: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48130 ) Thanks for the suggestion, though! Thanks again for your interest! Did you attempt to resolve the error as suggested by the KB article? (ie. did you enable the .Net 3.5 framework?) So, this is what I did. It looks like the .Net 3.5 framework was "partially enabled" so I went and checked the "Windows Communication Foundation non-HTTP Activation" as you can see. I didn't check the other box for HTTP Activation because I didn't think MO used HTTP activation to call FNIS. Actually, though, I don't really know what the other stuff under the .NET 4.6 framework is or if the 4.6 framework is relevant. Do you think there are any unchecked boxes that I ought to check? (I didn't just want to check a whole bunch of boxes without having any idea what they do.)
