XiNatiix Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Hey guys i got a little problem with my Skyrim since i have to renew my windows. first off i want to explain what happens ingame after i installed steam and skyrim (+all dlcs),so i started the game and it runs normal for a minute or so then CTD,when i dont use the DLCs the game works fine,so i thought it may be a problem with damaged files,so i let steam check the files and it says that one is damaged and it will download them again but i got the same error + when i let steam check the files again right after i checked them and they should be ok,it gives me the same message is it possible that these errors can be on files at the steam servers??? and is there a way to fix this? before i have to renew my system all worked fine even with mods win7 64bit was before win7 32bit now, because i dont find my 64bit version -.- in hope someone can help
Cynical Misanthrope Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I don't think there is anything wrong with servers per say, but there is always chance. But I doubt it. But my bet is, there likely a mod conflict somewhere. What you can do is to run LOOT, and even TESEDIT to try clean your mods up. Hopefully you will get some form of indication if something is wrong. If that doesn't help, you need to post your load order here, and maybe we can help you spot the fault. Not what mods you have installed, but the load order of them.
XiNatiix Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 thanks for the answer,i forget to mention that i dont have mods installed right now (sorry for that) i tried to add mods and stuff but ModOrganizer gives me that the DLCs are unmanaged, but now even after deinstalling those skyrim doesnt work is there a way to get more information why the game crashes(errorlog or something),would TES5Edit show me some informations? informed the support who forward my request to a more specialized team after the standard things they send me that could help didnt work
Cynical Misanthrope Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 If you don't use any mods, then I really don't see any reason why keep the current installation as it is now, I would completely remove it, and re-install the game again. I am not a modder, or a tech wizard, but it sounds like something is corrupted (maybe it got that when you windows changed) and I think the best bet right now is to re-install it. // EDIT Here is how you activate the log: Open Skyrim.ini (My Documents/My Games/Skyrim) and add the following to it:[Papyrus]fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0bEnableLogging=1bEnableTrace=1bLoadDebugInformation=1 Now, every time your game crash. it will create a log called Papyrus.0.log (still in the same folder as My Documents/My Games/Skyrim), and now you will be able to see what had caused your game to crash. Now, you might not know what to do with it, but if you experience more stuff, you can always bring it here, and people way more skilled than me, can surely help you out.
gregathit Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Agreed. Completely remove Skyrim from your computer and then reinstall it through Steam. Occasionally things like this happen.
XiNatiix Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 already tried that twice i also tried to get it work with a clean boot(suggest from the bethesda support) and still i got the same ctd but i took some time and get the logs [Papyruslog1] the second it almost the same [Papryruslog2] the "funny" thing is that the second cartride was a bit longer then the first but the log is a bit shorter EDIT: ok,it was an issue with memory overflow caused by the 32bit which cant handle high quality settings on my pc i deleted the papyrus log for better overview
