shazor Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Yeah well question is in the title. I maybe thought of setting the equipment slots of an armor just not to feets/body/hands/helmet which should result in "being naked" but would my armor even show ingame and i would i still get stuff like the light armor bonus perk for wearing all light armor?
gvman3670 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Do you mean visibly naked while wearing it? Or just the naked effect?  If you just want visibly naked with the armor effects still in place you should be able to remove branches in NifSkope. For the effect just choose that armor as naked in the SexLab Aroused mod.

When i tag the armor as being naked in the SexLab Aroused menu the game doenst tag me as naked hence no comments for being nude of npcs and no bonus effect from sexlab leveling. If i would remove said branches in NifSkope would the armor still show up in game?
gvman3670 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Yeah, it doesn't give comments, but it does effect arousal level (for you and for NPCs). Â If you just delete branches in NifSkope I am pretty sure the game still acts like you're wearing armor, though. I've never deleted them all to find out.

Im not such a NifSkope expert^^
gvman3670 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Try deleting them all. Bring up the _0 nif, then click a branch to highlight it, right click it, then choose delete branch. Then repeat with the _1 nif. And don't forget to save it to overwrite it. Â I usually do this in my Mod Organizer/mods folder so I can simply reinstall MO to revert it to normal if I don't like the changes. If you use any other method the stuff will be in Skyrim/data. Â Then just go in game and see if it works.
zzz72w3r Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I think you need to remove keywords "ArmorCuirass" and "ClothingBody" for the game, not just SL/SLA, to consider you naked. Removing the mesh from the nif file without changing the keywords won't work. You would look naked but not as far as the game is concerned. There are side effect of removing these keywords though, like unable to enchant said armor.

The armor perks will still work as they use other keywords (ArmorLight / Armor Heavy, and ArmorMaterial<Type>)
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Or you could just manually replace the meshes for the armour in their filepath location with your base body meshes, renaming them to match the original armour .nifs.

The game still considers my character dressed while wearing the armor or should i look for any keywords in the actual nif file? Im sure i wouldnt find there anything on my own because NifSkope is still rocket science to me^^

Try starting a new game with the changes and see if it works then.  For reference, the quest that handles naked comments by NPCs is WICommentNaked. The conditions listed in the Quest Data tab are what dictates whether the NPC is allowed to make the naked comment.
afa Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 It depends on what/how the mod check for naked vs not naked. Usually it is missing of Keyword (ArmorCuirass and ClothingBody as mentioned above), sometimes it checks for other or the missing of other keywords, some times it checks for slot 32 equip or not.
shazor Posted August 11, 2015 Author Posted August 11, 2015 Hmm tried to set the slots of the armor to non body slots and thats kinda worked a little bit. The game and the mods consider my character as naked but the armor doesnt fit with the body anymore. Is there a workaround for that?
