jintolinn Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Hello everyone! I hope this is an okay place to pose this question. I have a problem, and I've been working on it for a couple of weeks. For some reason, after my (female) player-character resolves when a save is loaded, the body jumps from the CBBE-Clams of Skyrim bodyshape, changing into another! Its so weird! Under meshes\actors\character\character assets\... the two femalebody files are the correct ones, the ones I generated with Bodyslide. All the npc's have the correct (big boobs) body I want them to have. But, my female-player-character, after a second of looking right, morphs into another (the wrong) body shape. Where is this .nif with the wrong body shape, so I may delete it? Or what must I do? Is there another mod that is overwriting the player-character body, but not the npc's? I don't know. Please help. Thank you. I'm using ModOrganizer, Caliente, Clams of Skyrim, RaceMenu, etc.
Blackness blackness is... Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 is it a complete transformation or just a weight change? you should maybe check the sliders of your preset after loading it if they change. because some mods are known to manipulate with them. another good idea is to check all body affecting mods and their functions.to see what they do to it etc. in case of a complete morph this won't do a thing though. no idea what could cause that.
Ashkandii Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 perhaps the Game trys to load two seperate .nifs one from MO one from Skyrim but I haven't heard of anything of the sort. Try removing femalebody_1.nif and femalebody_.nif from your skyrim data to see if that does anything as noted in Clams "This is a CBBE HDT body re placer" it also says open bodyslide --->select ATRIA BODY on outfit/body tab --->make your preset or select ATRIA BODY from preset tab---->click batch build so your outfits can conform to you preset---->check both low and high WALL boxes to remove the wall in the vagina ----->press BUILD So if your using Bodyslide and not using the preset then you should
jintolinn Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 First of all, thank you for the fast responses. You guys are great! EmoGirl, It's a full body transformation. You can tell, because, the boobs loose their physics after the transformation, (though the butt still wiggles). I've been looking for other femalebody_nifs to delete or alter, but there are only two (_0 and _1) in the character assets folder. BjKing, I do use the ATRIA body, play with the sliders, save the custompreset.xml, and build the bodies. I'll do as you suggest and try deleting the femalebody_nifs, and see what happens. But, in regards to MO, this problem did start around when I traded from NMM to MO, so maybe the mod organizer does have something to do with it... but what? And now that I look at it, how do I delete the femalebody_nifs through MO, since the files don't appear in the windows file directory anymore, now that MO is managing it all? I can, (and do), just recreate them through Bodyslide. Thanks all!
Ashkandii Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Go to MO and go to the mods that alter the body (adds .nifs to characert assets) right click - open explorer Boom.
jintolinn Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 Wow. That helps. Thanks BjKing. I will now go explore the file trees, hunting down all the other, unwanted femalebody_nifs, and deleting them. I'll report the results. ...still no joy...
gvman3670 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 It sounds like you have a body installed into the /Skyrim/data/ folder...and you shouldn't. If there is one there delete it and only use the one generated by BodySlide (which should be found in your "overwrite" folder at the bottom of the left pane).
jintolinn Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 So, everywhere I could find to, I copy and pasted my femalebody_nifs, into the Caliente folder, into the overwrite folder, and they are definately in the character assets folder. Still, the problem persists. Where the heck is the gremlin of a file hiding the ugly femalebody_nif that's overwriting my ATRIA body? BjKing did show me how to bring up the mod's directory tree in MO, which let me look at each mod individually, but how do I look at the whole tree, (other than the panel on the right)? Where else can I look to delete body_nifs, where can I look to place my body_nif so that it'll work? Caliente, character assets, overwrite, where else?
gvman3670 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 What body are you seeing? A vanilla body? When you started using MO was it with a fresh and clean Skyrim install or was the game already modded before switching to Mod Organizer?
jintolinn Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 To make sure, I reinstalled Skyrim, clean. The problem persists. The body that jumps in and replaces my sultry bodyshape is not vanilla. (But wow, doing a clean install with MO is so much faster than using NMM.) Buy yah, the body has these medium-large, hard rock, disjointed, lopsided, rigid boobs, and thin muscular arms. Peace.
Dillpickle Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 As you're using MO, go to the data tab on the right hand side and locate your female bodies in meshes\actors etc... It will tell you what mod is supplying the body, and if any other mods (highlighted in red) have the body meshes, hovering your cursor over it will tell you which mods.... Saves searching all your folders. On a side note, I had a weird body issue where there was no change in body size from 0 - 99, then would suddenly jump to full weight at 100. Turned out that femalebody_1 had both the 0 and 1 meshes in it, which was causing the oddity, could be worth checking.
jintolinn Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 Ah-hah! I've found it. The culprit was another mod, "soulgem-oven," it's a sexlab framework, and its breast scaling function, it was squashing the plump grapes of breasts down, into misshapen, shrivelled raisins. It still does, I haven't fixed the problem. I'm avoiding it. It's only the female player-characters that are affected, all the npcs behave as they should. I can play a male character - fine - and nothing wrong. I can play female characters with the breast scaling option off, I guess... if I have to. Anybody else have this problem, and it there a way to fix it? So, to everyone who helped me try and find a solution to the percieved problem: thank you all very much! It was I who was mistaken: it wasn't a problem with the body but a problem with a plugin. Still, you all helped me understand and figure out things that I did not know. You patience and help is much apprecited. Thx!
