Guest Donkey Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 It seem everytime i visit here my firewall goes haywire, and being ICMP by some company called Nforce who stationed in the US. ip address seem to be 173.245.60.114 and since my fire walls seem to block these well they seem to hide behind several other ip ranges like 69.174.0.0 to 69.174.255.255 also 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255 seem they use like proxy and can switch ip allot. With makes it very irritating. Â Â
Slammer64 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Donkey, do you have an nVidia video card by chance? That almost sounds like the driver software for the nVidia cards, and I wouldn't worry about the 10. network that's showing up, that's your own machine doing that, 10. is an internal network that never sees the internet. The 173. address is Cloudflare, so that's the forum. And the 69.174. network is PacketExchange an ISP provider out of California, that may be who Ashal is using for Internet for the forums.
johneb Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 The last few times I visited LL when I exited one of those spambot things or whatever they are is always lurking in the background asking (demanding) to scan my supposedly afflicted PC...always takes a little fancy footwork to escape it...this used to never happen when I visited this site.
gregathit Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Strange. I am wondering if you have been infected by malware from something else. I have never had anything like that from this site myself. There are a number of malware killing programs out there in addition to whatever virus scanner you have. Personally one I use is malwarbytes: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html You can run it once for free.
Chase Roxand Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 On occasion I've had those "scan your PC" pop-ups. Hasn't happened lately, and only happens when I'm not signed in. Pretty sure it's the ads.
Slammer64 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I've never noticed the ads, got Adblock for Opera, it kills 'em dead.
