Follower Disappears when wearing any HDT wig

I'm trying to use the amazing, natural-moving SkyHair 201 Wigs for my follower. Previously, I had used some other HDT wigs for her, and with both HDT Wigs mods, she becomes invisible in most, but not all, situations when wearing one.

 

My computer is an i5 3570K overclocked from 3.4 to 4.0 GHz, 8GB RAM and a GTX-970 GPU.

 

I'm running SKSE, SkyUi, the ENB Memory Fix (but not the ENB graphics) and the following "foundation" for my HDT mods:

• HDT Physics Extensions-53996-14-28 by HydrogensaysHDT
• Groovtama's XPMS Extended-26800-2-20 skeleton
• UNPB Body NMM BAIN Installer v2-5-2 FIX-37900-2-5-2
• UNP HDT-PE BBP-21199-5-01

I generally run with 3 companions, sometimes 4 if I bring Serana. I call it my "Posse of Pulchritude."    All of my companions and I (so up to 5 people at once) wear BBP armor and usually HDT Heels, plus I always wear HDT Hoop Earrings and HDT Hair. All of this runs fine, solid 60 fps, no stutters except rarely right after going through a load door, which clears up within one second.

 

Based on my solid 60fps even while Frapsing videos with all of this HDT going on, I do not believe that my computer is bottlenecking and preventing me from giving HDT hair to companions. I suspect that the problem is that Skyrim (Havok engine?) is somehow just running out of "headroom" to run as many HDT items as I'm inflicting upon it when I add an HDT wig to one of my companions.

 

Does anyone know of any Skyrim tweaks or other fixes that will allow my companion to wear an HDT wig without vanishing?

I'm not quite sure if the cause is the xml or something else but I've noticed that when stuff stretches into infinity, npcs tend to turn invisible. Happens a lot for me with cloaks of skyrim hdt patch and I've yet to even try to fix it. But I don't think it has to do with the amount of hdt stuff, just the hdt-pe seems to be a delicate piece of art. You could try to use hdt-smp wigs instead if it's actually wigs you are using as smp will crash with non-wig hairs.

It's a current bug with creation engine and Havok.

I have again the problem, but less than before.

 

But if you select your NPC in the console command (²), and after write "disable" and enter, and after "enable" and enter, she will reappear.
