Animations not working.

I installed SexLab Framework, Sexlab Aroused Redux and SexLab Submit. No animations are working. Characters just stand in a T formation. I downloaded everything through the Nexus Mod Manager. I have run FNIS several times. Everything is up to date.

T-pose indicates that FNIS did not run successfully.  Did you get any errors?  After running FNIS, click into the top area of the Generator and selected ALL of the text, then paste it into this thread (make sure to use spoiler tags).  Maybe someone can see an error that you may have missed.

There, and IDK how to use spoiler tags.

Definitely upgrade to Groovtama's XPMSE skeleton (either from here or down load from Nexus).

Gender specific patch only required when using mods that require them...

(e.g xp32's New Animation Pack, dualsun's Pretty Combat Idles, or NonokuraSan's Female Animation Pack)

The only thing I noticed was the install path is incorrect.  Should be installed in ".../data/tools/..." folder, not ".../data/FNIS tools/..."  If you installed using a mod manager, it should have put it in the proper location.  Suggest learning to use Mod Organizer, although NMM works fine to start with.

Forgot I took out my spoiler hint in my sig.  To use spoiler tags manually, type into the text area:

1) You're still using the default skeleton, you should install XPMSE - http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25971-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/- and run FNIS again.

2) You don't seem to be using the gender specific animation patch, which is required, also the skeleton arm fix once you install XPMSE.

Ok, got it, just where is the arm patch? And what specific file must I download?

And where is the gender specific animation pack?

You can use the latest version of XPMSE. The patches are just those checkboxes on the bottom part of GenerateFNISForUsers.

The FNIS needs to be put in tools, is that what you are saying?

The animations STILL don't work... Maybe cause I have FNIS in the wrong folder.

Yes, I'd move it to /data/tools.

Just the main FNIS folder? Just the FNIS behavior 5.5?

OR FNIS Behavior 5.5, FNIS tools AND FNIS Flyer?

FNIS Behavior and the Creature Pack if you use it should go in /data/tools, so that GenerateFNISforUsers.exe is in /data/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/. FNIS Flyer just goes in the data directory like any other mod.

You can create one, but you might want to just reinstall FNIS, because its directory structure has the executable in /data/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users, and there are also script and mesh files. Given that you have it in the wrong location it's possible you didn't install it properly and are lacking some required files.

Ok, I think I know what the problem was. I went about renaming things again, and as usual, messed things up... Ok, so I renamed the FNIS tools folder I had back to tools, IDK how that's gonna make a difference, but I will try and see if that fixes the problem.

Ok, I ran FNIS and this is what it said:

You're using the HDT skeleton, this is getting outside of my area of expertise but I believe you need the HDT physics extensions and a HDT body to use that. When you install XPMSE you should have an option to select the skeleton to use, select the one without any extra chars (HDT/BBP/etc).

Also, and I can't believe I missed this the first time, I just noticed you have Skyrim installed in Program Files. There can supposedly be problems when you do that. You might need to move the directory, which could be a hassle what with Steam and all. There's an article on migrating Steam games here - http://lifehacker.com/how-to-move-a-pc-game-to-another-hard-drive-without-re-1714706774- but I don't know if it works.

By the sounds of it I'm guessing FNIS and/or Sexlab isnt copied correctly.

-Extract and manually copy FNIS and Sexlab into your Skyrim data folder.

-Overwrite as needed.

-Re-run FNIS again

-Load up Skyrim and reset Sexlab anim reg.

-Test

Ok, I read over the mod again and it said it's a skeleton for HDT. This mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/?

Can I use this mod and it be ok? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26800/?Is this the mod I was supposed to be using this whole time?

I am getting frustrated with this...

Thank you for helping me though...

Sorry, I got confused, there is no option for a non-HDT install. But I don't know if HDT is a requirement, it may well not be, I just don't know enough about the skeleton side of things. You should be able to use XPMS but XPMSE is better for sexlab stuff.

I can tell you when I first started modding it was pretty frustrating at first. Take things slow, read directions, make sure that you have the mod's requirements, and to ask questions if you don't understand anything and we'll try to help.
