[Request/Question] Modders: Darksouls-ish parry/riposte in Skyrim?

So, the other day, for some reason I was thinking on could a parry like in DaS be implemented in Skyrim, and I was trying to keep it with what I've seen ppl have done with mods, so here's is what I in all my ignorance think this could be done:

So, you know how we have a timed block right, when you block just in time and the attacker gets staggered a bit, well, instead of that, you would do a "timed bash" shield or weapon, so you bash the attacker just when he's gonna hit you and then he will go to an extended stagger period (I'd say 1.5 secs), and then, if you hit the attack button close enough to a enemy in such a state, you will trigger a kill cam, only not the normal insta kill, the attack will do a ton of damage, but it should not be a guaranteed kill, should be more than a sneak attack though, since you're hitting the enemy wide open, as vulnerable as it can be. And also the kill cam should be the one that doesn't change the camera angle so the flow of the fight doesn't get disturbed.

So, there you have it, I haven't used the CK in my life, so I don't know if the conditions I described can be done; hopefully, I'm just a silly and something like that has been already done, if not, I think it's a cool thing to add to Skyrim, would make the combat 200% more awesome imo.

That doesn't just require CK work (complete with some pretty heavy duty scripting). That also needs some FNIS magic!

But... maybe... just maybe...

(Keep your eyes peeled... just maybe... hehe...)

I use 2 mods and an ini edit to change combat for me:

Enhanced Enemy AI - changes the base AI so enemies don't just charge blindly and will instead use whatever weapons and the tactics for them - no scripts with this

The Dance of Death - allows you to set the chance of kill moves happening and what camera view (1st, 3rd or random) to use.

INI edit: Add this to your Skyrim ini file:

[VATS]
bVATSDisable=1

This will disable the cinematic camera and instead use the normal camera view.

As an example of combat my 3rd level character (in heavy armor, shield and mace) fought a similarly outfitted Bandit Boss. All out attack was out, 2 unblocked hits from him had nearly killed me and I had to fall back and heal (with him chasing me). When I faced him with my shield up he did the same and waited for good chances to shield bash me or block my attacks. I finally learned how to lure him out from behind the shield, bash him then be able to bash him with mine so I could get a good hit on him while he was staggered. Overall the fight took several minutes to do.

Oh, if you use mods like Defeat where they steal your stuff they will use it.

PerMa has timed blocks. If you block at the right time the attacker gets staggered a little.

As does deadly combat, skytweak, SPERG, duel-combat realism, skyre, requiem and pretty much all of the combat mods. I fail to see why did you even mentioned that, this is not a thread asking for a mod with timed blocking, it's a thread where I explore the possibility of making a parry/riposte like in Darksouls with the assets I've seen in mods so far.

I apologize. I misread the thread's question. Your name and icon seem familiar btw. I just having issues placing it.
