Doomdriven Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Hey everybody, I'm kind of keen to try and switch from CBBE to UUNP because it has (i think) a higher poly mesh, not sure though. How would i install it correctly? I've tried to install it once without installing unp or cbbe first, and then added feminine hands and feet remodeled to it, but i had some wristgaps and neckseams. Would i need to install UNP first and use the higher quality UNP head or do i have to install CBBE first (even though i think it's using vanilla head mesh)? And also, would i have to convert all CBBE-bodyslide armors to UUNP-bodyslide or will the CBBE armors fit normally as they are bodyslide'able? CBBE is awesome an all, but as a "detailwh*re" i think the low poly mesh is quite ugly now, and since i've read that CBBE V4 won't happen i'm looking for alternatives and i think UUNP would be the best choice due to bodyslide. .
Guest Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Read the instructions Ousnius has written on BS2's front page, he makes it very clear what's needed, all any of us will end up doing is reiterating him. But basically you need to install XPMSE, choose yourself a nice set of UNP body textures and then install the UUNP version of the Bodyslide 2 package which contains the reference body shapes, some HDT xmls, the hands and feet etc. Once you're up and running it's essentially the same routine for building bodies and outfits as it was for CBBE. And yes you will need to get your hands on conversions made for UUNP, most armors show some skin and CBBE's UVs aren't compatible. Besides, it's the only way you'll be able to take full advantage of what UUNP has to offer.
Doomdriven Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 Yeah i have read the frontpage of BS but it isnt mentioned if its required/reccommended to install UNP first and then replace them with the bodyslide-included files when you build a body, like you do with cbbe. So i was just wondering if that would be a requirement or if it would even work because it would be quite sweet to use UUNP with the higher poly UNP head mesh
Akzyra Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 No, you don't need UNP or any UNP-based body. You need UNP texture and XPMSE. UUNP has body, hand and feet mesh. NO HEAD! Same as most body mods. Use Citrus or whatever.
ousnius Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Head meshes are universal, they don't depend on the body mesh. However, your head textures obviously have to match your body textures. And yes, XPMSE + UNP Textures + building UUNP bodies, hands and feet in BodySlide.
