Help with creating some meshes.

I am looking for some help with creating some basic household clutter, not the nice organized sort but the messy kind. I have some quests where you need to clean various things but I need a group of items in a single mesh instead of individual ones. Mostly what I am looking for is the following:

- Pile of books

- Pile of clothes

- Dishes in a kettle to be washed

My abilities in creating things like these are 0 unfortunately.

I saw that unfortunately they are all ruined books, not exactly something someone would have on on their bookcase in the first place. I have gone through a number of resources from several sites and that was the closest I found.

Ah, they need to be good books.

Well... have you tried just dragging a whole bunch of books one at a time into the area, selecting them all, then turning havok on for a second? Same for clothes and dishes?

For the book pile at least, it looks like it can be retextured (shown here with a couple pieces retextured, the first thing I grabbed)...

 

Each mesh uses a single texture for each book in the pile, so it's a pain to do it all (the 42-book pile will be particularly vexing), but it's doable and you can make a single pile have a lot of different books.
