I'm just going to start by saying that my skyrim is not saved in steam and I'm using MO. I have sexlab framework, then arousal and morenastycritters, SOS, and a CBBE custom body with hdt and a male body, and xp32 skeleton, and 'moreRealisticForce'.

I have FNIS creature pack too, and I activated all those mods in MO, then I add fnis generator as an exe, and running it it says:

>>Warning: Generator not run from a legal (Steam) Skyrim installation directory. If you use SKSE, this can be fixed by starting Skyrim once through Steam.<<

ERROR(2012): Could not generate: defaultfemale <dot>  hkx                    defaultmale <dot> hkx

clicking update fnis behavior a second time, it gives me an error C\games\skyrimreinstall\data\tools\generateFNIS_for_users\temporary_logs\skeleton  <dot>    xml

running skse, it says sexlab found fnis did not complete setup, please reinstall...

please help!

FNIS is not finding a valid skeleton.

You should use the normal Steam installation path.

Can you elaborate how to give it a skeleton? I have steam but don't use the normal steam path.

Maybe I should do these things one at a time... I really don't know how to make it work. NMM used to work but now it won't even open! And even after reinstalling I decided to make a new skyrim install in a different location. I kind of suspect that the two skyrims might be interfering.

I had sexlab working with nmm, but with MO on my new install path it won't recognize a skeleton, xp32 maximum skeleton.

Hi.

You should not use at the same time NMM and MO. They will conflict and make the mod not installed correctly (mainly load order problems)

Chose one (I prefer MO.)

The wrong path is not too bad, but you may have some problems with some mods.

For the skeleton, be sure you donwload and install Groovtama's XPMSE. The best of all skeletons. Don't use th e3.0 alpha. Use the V2.82.

Install first SexLab, put XPMSE at the very end, then put all the dependencies of XPMSE and SexLab between the two.

MO will help you to find the right load order.

Then configure in MO the tool GenerateFnisForUsers (you can find everywhere some tutorial.)

Then run it from MO, and you should be all set.

If not, post all error messages here.

Well, here is an error message for one (when running fnis):

Could not find file 'C \Games\SKYRIM REINSTALL\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\skeleton xml'.

ERROR(2012): Could not generate: defaultfemale hkx defaultmale hkx

ok sexlab does not work, during sex the people just stand there. My custom CBBE body does not show up in game.

UPDATE:

The women's body is the CT77 "Small" from bodyslide, but after building my own custom body, it didn't get rid of CT77, and after running FNIS, it didn't change to my custom body.

The men's body is the one that comes with SOS.

HDT really doesn't make anything bounce.

----------------

After running FNIS, the first time I do it it gives me the error

Could not find file 'C:\Games\SKYRIM REINSTALL\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\skeleton xml'.

running it again displays

ERROR(2012): Could not generate: defaultfemale hkx defaultmale hkx

after checking my MO overwrites folder, I see the defaultfemale hkx and defaultmale hkx are in the overwrite folder overwrite>tools\generatefnisforusers\

I see also my custom preset from bodyslide in overwrites. My game plays like only the dialogue options from sexlab actually work.

to sum it all, it seems like MO is hiding the .hkx files in overwrites, which fnis cant access, and thus cannot create .hkx files:

the second to last line in the fnis log is:

Converting Behavior Files (.xml to .hkx) ...

running fnis from its directory in the MO mods folder, it creates successfully animations for VANILLA skyrim, but does not see my other mods.

Please help me figure this out.

FYI: I AM running FNIS through MO, and it gives me those errors, and ctd

I see you checked "Skeleton Arm Fix" and yet you DIDN'T install the skeleton needing that fix. THAT IS A FATAL ERROR ALL BY ITSELF.

Turn off just that check box and see if things don't start working.

But it didn't see that I had xp32 skeleton, it said skeleton unknown.

I had an idea to delete all my mods and start again, which order should I install them? What should I install first, in order for fnis to work?

UPDATE:

I got a new clean install of skyrim, and of MO, and installed fnis, cbbe, and quickstart-skip the opening sequence.

I have a preset for cbbe bodyslide, but then I click racemenu morphs, and build, and then batch build my clothes, and it asks me which options I want.

TRY ONE: (Leave fnis and cbbe disabled but installed in MO)>>

so I leave all options checked and then I run fnis, which gives me a fatal error: the application could not be started, would you like to know more?

and skyrim is using the vanilla body, so nothing worked

TRY TWO:(enable fnis and cbbe, so clicked the tick box next to them)>>

Run cbbe again, and this time only select 'cbbe' when making clothes.

run fnis, it gives me an error, but I click continue, and try to click the generate button a few times, then exit

drag overwrites into fnis mod.

RUN SKSE>> skyrim is using my custom body, no ctd when taking clothes off!
