Cheetor Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Is there anything in my ini files that could cause it? enbseries.rtf Skyrim.rtf SkyrimPrefs.rtf
RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Hm. I deselected Witch. Still the same problem. =/ So it must not be one of those at all. Yep.. Do it the old (long but safe way): Disable a bunch of mods from the bottom (10 or 20 of them), and try to start he game. As soon as your game starts go with fine tuning until you will find the culprit. CPU has good advise for this stage. . Just start removing mods (and any dependencies . Another choice I do is disable all the mods and start with groups of mods I need / want.. and their dependencies. and test. Least ot most etc. I can eliminate various mods like texture mods and such pretty quickly. then move on to the more likely mods. More aggressive but I also check and work on updates along the way as well. One time doing the above I found my hidden plugin limit. . Didn't matter what mods I added afterwards they wouldn't work properly.. Very valuable info. From that time on with my old rig I kept the mod list below that number (~155)
Cheetor Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Interesting. I got up to and disabled everything except for Skyrim.esm and Update.esm. Still have the problem...
Guest Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Interesting. I got up to and disabled everything except for Skyrim.esm and Update.esm. Still have the problem... If with just Skyrim and update you still have the problem then this is a corrupted file somewhere. With NMM this happens. I think now you have to do a full reinstall. Sorry about this. And take the opportunity to switch to a better Mod Manager.

Guest Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Verifying game integrity wouldn't solve it? You can try but I think it will not work. Game integrity is on the main files. And if you have a wrong loose file somewhere this step will not fix the problem.

RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 I suggest that earlier to help resolve the potential problem with the masters. You have removed all the other mods so far. Verify cache will at least let you start the game. TEST.. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/49795-ctd-on-startup/?p=1249217
Guest Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Oh so it's a loose file for a mod somewhere that is causing it to crash? It is just an educated guess. Move in a different folder all the folders inside Skyrim\Data (and recreate the folders empty) And check. if ti works then the original game, and the BSA should be OK.
RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 There might not have been any problems with any of your mods you had installed. You should verify cache when the LOOT and TESedti shows no master problems before you start resolving mod issues and removing the mods . For future reference. If it is a problem with the originals.. you can try a dirty clean by removing all the folders, non Skyrim files etc then verify cache again to be sure you have all the files. If downloads are quick.. If not just NUKE it. What a clean Skyrim file look like. Remove the folders (loose files) verify cache and have a reasonably clean system.
RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 If you have time run a hard drive check to be sure there isn't any issues with the drive just in case. Then reload your mods and test every so often to be sure something else isn't corrupted or bad in the mods you are using.
Cheetor Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Except it seems that I can't load any character after I make them. =/ I do get something in Papryus though. And here is the error for the character I actually want to play. Edit: I guess estus and beastess were causing it. Now trying to fix a CTD on opening the map. Papyrus.3.log Papyrus.3.log
RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 You are having a lot of unusual strange bugs and problems and all happening at the same time. Either you have some serious issues with your install and mods and should start over fresh with clean downloads of the mods (I had to because of a computer memory issue awhile back) or you are using a Pirated Skyrim which will constantly give you problems with mods. I just haven't seen someone with as much bad luck as you seem to be having on the same rig/install. Complete reinstall, (NUKE) and start over is my suggestion and get fresh copies of your mods. Start small .. get your patches up and running, then some game tweaks and such. Test with ever "set" of mods installed. (Set = mod and requirements. for example Body, skeleton, and base armors)
delgathar Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Sorry I was AFK for a bit to make dinner. No masters are missing or anything. Bash and LOOT both don't show any missing dependencies. Looking at how to use TESEdit right now. A missing master is your only solution to a CTD in this location. Either a master is loaded after a mod that requires it, or it's missing completely. That's the only option. Actually, I've had ENBs cause CTD on load and the wrong video driver setup also cause crash on load. My computer has two GPUs and it caused me a lot of trouble when I first got it. So there are at least Three options, not one. OP, you simply have way too many mods. Do a clean install and load up a max of 10 mods. Play for a while, and if it is stable, add 10 more. Another thing you can do is load tes5edit and after it is done loading, in the left pane right click and show conflict losers. You'll probably find a lot of mod conflicts. You can either learn to resolve those conflicts, or drop conflicting mods.
