Forum spoiler buttons don't work.

As the title says, forum spoiler tags don't seem to work for me at all. I haven't a clue when they first broke, but at present the buttons just... sit there. Clicking them does nothing. Viewing the page source lets me get at the contents, but that's a huge pain in the ass.

The problem is occurring in both Chrome and Firefox, and I'm rather at a loss as to why. Doesn't appear to be affected by Adblock or any other extensions I'm running, and I'm kind of at a loss as to how to track down and resolve the issue. Further complicating things is the fact that I'm in China at present without a reliable working VPN and on a sometimes unreliable connection, and so the usual solution of "Google it" is unavailable. I suppose I could tinker with TamperMonkey or somesuch to automatically strip out spoiler tags, but again, pain in the ass.

Anybody have any ideas?

Hmm, from what I am aware you need a certain number of posts on the forums before the spoiler option works, or at least you did, they may have changed it.

Though I am sure somebody else will know how many posts it takes.

In firefox you have to allow the right script for it to work. If  you are using noscript. Currently dont remember what script tho but should be easy for you to figure out by testing em.

Just to clarify, to view the contents of spoiler tags requires a minimum post count? As opposed to being able to stick something into a spoiler tag? That seems somewhat silly, but eh...

Might as well do a quick test while I'm at it.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Hrm. Further examination seems to indicate the problem is, as often seems to be the case, the Great Firewall. Developer console shows a timeout for a couple of libraries hosted on ajax.googleapis.com due to China not playing nice with Google. Fuck. Time to go VPN shopping again, I suppose. Anyone have any recommendations?
