QuiteTheTail Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I have sent a message to a LL user today, and there was a pop up (I wasn't able to read all of its content, just the part 'the recipient will be informed' bla bla bla). Probably said user is ignoring me (we had a verbal skirmish some time ago), but I wish he could read my message nevertheless. It's important (at least for me).
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 They probably have you blocked or it could also be their inbox is full. It's probably best to just catch them when they are on.
QuiteTheTail Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 What do you mean ega, is there a sort of chat or instant messaging on LL that I am not aware of?
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 You are referring to private message, right? You can block users who annoy you. And I'm more than certain that if their inbox gets full, you can't send a private message. I know this happens on Nexus. And I know both LL and Nexus use the same IP board so they have the same if not very similar features when it comes to this. There isn't an official chat room or instant message. There's only a unofficial chat room made by Blabba for LL members to go to.
BruceWayne Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 You can disable the messenger altogether. So if a user has their PMs disabled, you won't be able to contact them as well.
QuiteTheTail Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 You can disable the messenger altogether. So if a user has their PMs disabled, you won't be able to contact them as well. That's too bad. I'm here from so little time and already have reached 12% quota. It would be a good practise to archive the messages from time to time, to avoid having it disabled. @ endgameaddiction Yes, I am referring to PMs. Thanks for clarifying the way the inbox works.
BruceWayne Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Not sure how that has anything to do with what I said, but yes you can archive your messages and save them to your hard-drive. We're not Google here, so bandwith and space is limited for a reason.
QuiteTheTail Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Of corse this isn't google . My fault, I mixed up my answers to both your comments and the result was indeed confusing. Sorry about that. "Too bad that some people disable the messanger" (it's their choice, though) was directed to you. The part related to the quota would be best directed to endgameaddiction and its pointing out the fact that the message could be rejected when the box is full. (Just moving "@ endgameaddiction" one line up would have fixed the source of misunderstanding).
