Mimic addon for RaceMenu does not work, so I was hoping the pros here could give me advice or at least a link to a youtube vid that will teach me. Been googling for this preset but it was never made.
Dubhorizon Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Mimic Add-on works in general, but not on different heads. I mean, most followers have their own head.nif, eyes.nif etc. Most kawai followers use the head mesh included in ygnord race of ECE. If you are trying to copy from a ygnord head to a normal nord head, you'll obviously ot have the required result. What you need is a little bit of creation kit work. In general, all you need is to open the follower .esp and turn her custom race into playable, then add the npc as a character preset for that race. I would definately advise you to check this tutorial http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25673/? it takes you step by step through the process of making a standalone follower, which is more or less how all followers are made (mostly). Either print it out, of use a second monitor and do what it says on the spot. When you've done your first follower it will be very easy to turn them into an NPC.

Not to hijack this thread but I had a Racemenu question and since this one is already open... When I load a racemenu preset how do I get it to load the sex/race automatically? Currently if I'm a male nord it will load the preset but not switch to the proper sex and race.
Andriokz Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 I just put the NIF file in the FaceGeom directory (I forget the name) and that worked perfectly on a load as long as it was the same head/textures (if not then it would have to be blended). I was trying to figure out everything else you'd get from a preset file; basically everything you'd have to do manually. Oh well
