CK - NPC Dark Face

OK, first this is NOT the dark face bug (CTRL-F4). I'm getting this issue since the last CK update via Steam (the one that lifted the mod size limit).

So every time I open a NPC (vanilla or custom one), the head appears like this:

I'm attaching my SkirimEditor,ini and SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini: CKinis.7z

THere is also a weird line in the hair/head junction.

Can someone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

Probably the textures for the head are not aligned to the textures of the body you are using.

Head and body uses different textures.

And if you are using a specific body type, by replacing the vanilla one, the CK gets screwed up.

The weird thing is that I use the same body type/textures from a long time ago... (7B with SG textures). This only happened like 2 months ago, around the same time Steam updated some files.

Do you think it could be something in the ini files? Should I replace them with some old ones from a backup?

Try to re-install the bodies. Maybe their texture was replaced.

If you use MO or similar, check also the order of the mod providing the textures.

Not sure if this is the case here but CK has always had problems dealing with high resolution tint masks.

Try temporarily renaming the Data\textures\actors\character\character assets\tintmasks folder where the high res versions are usually stored. this should allow CK to access the vanilla textures instead. Just remember to change the folder back after closing CK.

Thanks, that did the trick! Nice.

@CPU: thanks for your help too :)
