questy Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 The body of my character has some kind of black stains when i run into a wall and my camera forces me to look close to my character and i'm not sure what is causing this. I tried disabling all mods and only leave Skyrim.esm and update.esm but the problem persists.Screenshot: http://imgur.com/jawM9eFAfter some researching I found someone else having this issue but there wasn't a fix and he made an album where it shows the same problem that i'm having with more clarityhttp://s10.photobuck...s?sort=3&page=1
yatol Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 it can be the mesh too my v4 was black because i didn't set to yes has vertex color, or something near that
Coopervane Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Yup, pretty much all the body replacers out there share the same error, they are set to render Normals when they should be set to Vertex-colour. The result is that Skyrim tries to change this on the fly every time the body gets loaded, but sometimes it fails and you get that black flickering texture. The less memory you have free, the more likely it is to happen.

Coopervane Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 There was a really useful thread about this, but now i can't seem to find the bugger.. It's going to require NifScope, so grab that if you dont have it already, and then under NiTriShapeData you'll want to.. err, here have a picture, that's way easier:
yatol Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 one less problem for my crappy nif didn't know has normal was useless with has normal without 0 difference in game (that was 400 ko in the nif)
Coopervane Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Uhh.. there's another thing. The "BS Num UV Sets" value. It needs be set to 1 for vertex-colour (it's normally 4096 for Normals). didn't know has normal was useless It's not. It's very needed on armours, weapons and most other things, since those use normal maps. It's basically just skin (aka the body, head, hands and feet) that use a different method, and should thus use the vertex-colour settings instead.

Unfortunately I encounter into another problem afterwards , the body of my character has some kind of black stains when i run into a wall and my camera forces me to look close to my character Screenshot: http://imgur.com/jawM9eF EDIT: I found an album where shows the same problem that i'm having with more clarity http://s10.photobucket.com/user/arazamus/library/Skyrim%20pics%20texture%20problems?sort=3&page=1
