DareDemon666 Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Italy huh, I wish I was so lucky! stuck in rainy old England here.Well as I said no rush, You've helped me far further than I ever expected so take your time! I hope you enjoy your stay
Guest Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Ok, another member had a similar situation (create a follower using some available stuff from other mods.) This is the post: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/49341-request-help-for-making-my-character-a-standalone-follower/?do=findComment&comment=1236657 He/She sent me (detailed) list of mods and items (in a really good way), so now I have some material to continue this tutorial. Next step will be to grab some items from other mods (eyes and hair), and make them usable for the custom NPC. After this we will see how to create a custom body for the selected race (that will apply ONLY to the NPC) Then some last items on clothes, wings, tails.
DareDemon666 Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Ok sounds good. I think we've already sorted the hair and eyes though earlier when we copied the textures etc...? Do correct me if I'm talking nonsense here!
Guest Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 You are not talking nonsense (please double negation: so you are right!) I will do a quick explanation about how to copy hair and eyes, probably very easy and with some screenshots. Then I will go to the personalized body.
DareDemon666 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Sure, I understand that it is not just me using this tutorial now!Starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel now
Guest Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Actually I just started to write a full tutorial for this, including all possible aspect. And I am going fast, probably by the end of the week it will be ready. From time to time I will put here the work in progress.
DareDemon666 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 That sounds great, ill have a look for it!
Guest Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 The full tutorial in version 0.5 is available here: Download

Guest Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 The full tutorial in version 0.5 is available here: Download
Guest Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 The first official version of the tutorial is in the download section. It includes an ESP with the fully working follower.
DareDemon666 Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 That looks excellent, thanks for making it! sorry about no replies lately I've been in Hungary the past week. Do you plan to write a section for custom physics or is that not necessary/planned? Cheers!
Guest Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 That looks excellent, thanks for making it! sorry about no replies lately I've been in Hungary the past week. Do you plan to write a section for custom physics or is that not necessary/planned? Cheers! Hi. Right now in my list there are: * Enabling custom tattoos (warpaint) - that is hard * Implement a summoning spell to call the follower and dismiss it * make it multi-summonable using it as not specific NPC About physics I know too little to do something here. The body supports any HDT physics you want already. What do you mean exactly for "custom physics" ?
DareDemon666 Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 I just meant about having the follower use HDT and such with a CBBE or UNP or 7B, etc body. It looks like you've got that covered though! Good luck with the war paint, I've given similar things a go in the past and they're painstaking to make.
DareDemon666 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I've run into an issue. I want to use a hair from SGhairpack however I cannot load it in ck. It is classed as a master file and it wont load more than one master file (loads Skyrim automatically). Is there a 'work-around' for this? your tutorial does not explain what to do if this happens Cheers
Guest Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Yes. First edit the file SkyrimEditor.ini, in the section [General], be sure you have: bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 If this still does not work, just change the ESM to an ESP, grab what you need, copy it, and then convert it back.
DareDemon666 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I can't find a "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads" in the .ini There is a "bAllowMultipleEditors" but thats about it
DareDemon666 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Minor cosmetic issue: In race menu i gave the lips a red colour to imitate lipstick however this doesn't show up on the npc in game or in the preview on CK. under the "face tint layers" section in "character gen parts" there is a .dds file for the lips and when i click it the deep red colour shows up but not on the preview. Also i loaded the npc before i changed the hair and now when i go into skyrim the npc has the default hair, in CK preview and render window the npc has the SG hair i chose
Guest Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Be sure you select the Actor and click Ctrl+F4 to save the face tint. But the tints from racemenu are NOT exported to NPCs... You have to do them in CK. About the hair, probably you have some sort of conflict in the hair you duplicated.
DareDemon666 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Im not sure i understand about the tints part, and i will do the whole hair process again tommorow. sometimes it is better to start from scratch then to keep building on top of something else I've now fixed the hair and all works fine, however lip colour is still wrong
DareDemon666 Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 Hey, Could you explain to me how to do the colours with tints in CK. I can't seem to figure it out. Also a tip for the next edition of your tutorial, which is great by the way, move the images to one side or something because it is kinda weird to read when they are in the middle of a paragraph. Cheers
Guest Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Hi. I will move the images to a better position in the next release. About the color, do you mean the tint for the hair?
DareDemon666 Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 no for the lips. As you can see in this image the colour should be red as selected in racemenu however it does not display on the preview or in-game. Here is the image: http://i.imgur.com/YkL2xP0.jpg
