Need help with Nifskope

Hi!

 

I'm trying to remove armor parts using Nifskope, but I'm having difficulty getting the results I want. I'm trying to remove the cross on the breast as well as the panties on the TERA Berserker Metal armor by The Fallen found here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20917-sevenbase-conversions-bombshellcleavage-with-bbp/

 

Every time I try to remove the cross on the breasts or the panties, it seems to remove the entire metallic part of the armor. I requested aid previously under this thread: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/48755-request-small-armor-modification-please/, and Crusty Gamer told me that it was a very simple process that takes 2 min. However, I can't figure out how to remove just a specific part of the armor...

 

I don't have 3ds Max, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to use Blender. I downloaded the latest version, but the Blender Nif Script doesn't seem to recognize it, and is making me download a previous version. Even after installing it, I read some guides and it was talking about using the older version to Import/Export while using the latest version to do the modifications (which I have no idea how to do). I can't even seem be able to Import the mesh to the old version of Blender (the number of options is overwhelming, and anything I try leads to an error message), and don't really know where to even start. 

 

After spending a good chunk of my day fiddling with it, I've given up Blender and hope that someone could give me a few pointers on how to do this on Nifskope. 

 

I have no knowledge or experience whatsoever in modding, so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think Outfit studio can remove parts, not sure tbh as i don't use it.

You can't remove the panties and the crosses with NifSkope as they're part of the Heavy Armor.

But here you go (used 3ds):

If the panties are connected to the armor you can use gimp2 with .dds plugin so that you can load .dds files into it and lasso the panty textures and cut them out. Then load the cuirass_0.nif and cuirass_1.nif into nifskope 1 at a time and right click the cuirass go to node - attach property - NiAlphaProperty then save as to overwrite the nif. This will make the panties turn invisible.

This sounds a LOT simpler than fiddling with Blender. I will give it a try, thanks!
