Devious Devices Installation error

Hello everyone, I am having a bit of trouble with this mod. As far as I can understand all supplemental mods (sexlab, CBBE, etc) are installed and working correctly and there are no conflicts with the mod loader. However in the case with DD no matter what I try this keeps popping up. I am using intergration.esm version 2.9, although I did try installing intergration.esm from 2.8 but it still didn't work. Has anyone encountered this error before? what do you think am I missing?

SKSE Version 1.72

I have tried FNIS behaviour on both 5.3 and 5.42 with and without magic scripts and creature mods for both. (nothing has helped so far though.)

I know FNIS is working because I can use the FNIS spells to manipulate NPC's; so thats ok.

I have reinstalled all 3 DD's yet again (with fresh new downloads) but to no avail. I have also tried (as some have said) to delete the Skyrim.ini file in MyDocuments and relaunch the game, but that hasn't worked either.

Ok. Installed SKYUI 3.1; it works and the HDT-HHS; they work as well. SKYE had not been initializing properly and I managed to fix that--of which most subsequent problems were solved.

However the annoying message "libs is none in zadnpcquestscript." and "A fatal error has occured with your installation of Devious Devices." I have uninstalled and reinstalled them and followed the loading order above as described. (except SKyUI is just below "other FNIS stuffs)

First, huge thank you to all you guys trying to help; I do appreciate your help truly. Esp when you could be using it on anything and everything else that exists.

My only problem now is that although DD works and has no errors in skyrim, I can't seem to figure out how to use said specific mod it. All the Body slots, whether I equip items or not do not seem to show up. I wonder can anyone point me to a forum tutorial on how to use the DD system, I can't seem to find any.

Do the following:

Set Papyrus logging so it will generate a log (google it if needed)

Start the game

Turn on logging in the DD MCM menu

Try equipping/unequipping a number of devices

exit

Post the log here. We should be able to tell if it is a script issue or a mesh/texture issue from that.

Using MO so this ini file was under modorganizer/profiles. However for good measure I also edited the skyrim.ini under mydocuments/mygames/skyrim

Sooner or later I will get to the bottom of this.

Thought of a way to check what is causing the issue without the log:

 

- Remove everything from your inventory except 1 device (will make it much easier to do) and I mean everything. If you have some quest items that is fine.

- use showinventory in the console, note the number of items (should be 2 - the item and the device hider id # xx040F0C)

- Put on the device

- check the inventory again using showinventory in the console

If the scripts are not working then the number of items will be the same

If the scripts are working then it will go up by 1 (rendered item added by the scripts that has the models) and there is an issue with the mesh install

Used MCM Devices underneath 1; Head slot 1; collar

I'm no programmer but it seems you were right the devices is in fact equiped, just not showing up.

If the 07040F0C is the only item showing (This is the Device Hider by the way) then the script is not working correctly. I take it that the MCM menu for DD works? If so then the scripts are installed correctly but something is interfering with the equipping of devices. You may want to make sure that no other mods are overwriting the scripts from Integration, it is easy enough to miss removing those (I have more than a few times).

Do you have any suggestions of what could detect this conflict? I am poking around with Tess5edit.

 

The MCM editor is working, I can browse the menu freely.

You need to get the game to generate a Papyrus log and enable the logging in Integration, it will let us see if it is having any issues and where they may be.

What version of ZAZ Animation Pack are you using? There are a lot of errors and they begin with that then go on to the DD scripts. If you are using the latest version go back a few and see if that helps. I still use v6.02 with no issues and have heard that the latest has some issues (may be from ZAZ itself, may be from other mods overwriting items/scripts from it).

I am using v605. I tried upgrading to the v606 version but I have the same problem. Then I installed and alternated between XPMS 1.94 and Groovtama's XPMS verson and re-compiled to see if that might help (as they were listed as requirements here.

Problem is I cannot find any older versons of zaz's animation pack mod anywhere, except v601 in russian. zaz's aforementioned page only houses 605 and 606 and nexus only carries his  "whips and bondage mods."  Is there a place I can find old archived files?

Alright I tested both files you gave me (thanks for that btw) Nothing has changed, DD will still not equip anything. However, I played around a bit with the ZAZ MCM and in 606 I can actually test some animations that show textures and correct meshes; but no sounds will play. When I tried the same in 604 the character would freeze into the T frame during animations, but the sounds for those animations would play.
