Mind break and rape

I love mind break, but i'm not into rape. Even if most of the time they're related, unfortunately.

arent rape and mindbreak the same? Like all the mind break is cause by rape.

Hardly.  A brief bit of study on the subject of brainwashing will show that there are numerous ways to do it.  Anything from rape & physical abuse to sleep deprivation all the way down to the subtle word games politicians and advertisers have learned to play the last few decades.

Do some research on Ericksonian hypnosis and Neural Linguistic Programming if you really want to see how easily influenced people are.  Case and point; one of Bill Clinton's favorite catch phrases; "If you think about it..."  That phrase basically commands the listener's mind to really think about and consider what follows it as a valid argument.   Obama tries to use it too, but every time I hear him do so, he's using condescending tonality that undermines his efforts.

And for the record, I'm not "into" mindbreaking and while Sexlab mods are cute fantasy, real life rape is repugnant.

I agree, mind break is arousing (wrong, but arousing), rape is just brutal.

theres a faster and more efective way to brainwash someone, psychic induction (also called human training). it consistits on making people get used to situations tha it wouldnever do by normal means, it starts with somwthing related that the personwould accept doing, itl be done untill it get used to it and starts doing it by itself. After this you make it do another thig closer to your objective that itll be ok now and keep doing it untillyour oectiveis complete,te target will get used to it and since thechnge was gradual it wont resist and itl become part of its personality. This was used by several dictators to make the population agree with its atrocities and reproduce them.

True, ESPguy.   Heck, it's still being done to varying degrees by governments and special interest groups nowadays.

Im a design student so I actully had to leran the basics of how to brainwash people, thats really complex, even colours and sounds can have certain kinds of effects on peoles subconsious, companies use it a lot. after saying that Iactually like knowing how it works and I use it sometimes, brainwashing is usefull and really fun, I love doing itwith people that era asshole with me or annoying, to make them nicer or fckup with their minds and lifes.

Calm yourself dude. Some people rock their socks to bdsm, some people rock their socks to rape fantasies. It's not our place to condemn anyone, and the environment here is usually cool with far worse.

I'm not into rape fantasy, I doubt I ever could be. That doesn't mean I'm going to hate people that do, hell I went out with one. After they suggested it I dropped them like a bomb, but that's that.

It's like fantasizing about banging your sister when you don't have one.

That's why there is a distinction between fantasy and reality. I look at it as fantasy and would never condemn condone to such violence, nor wish it upon anyone, ever. This is no different than a female dressing like a loli wearing a school uniform with mini skirt and no panties underneath role playing as a sweet little 16 year old. Are we to condemn them too for fantasizing out their role play behavior?

There's no exception to rape and no one should ever have to live it. I can only imagine the devastation one can possibly go through from such a horrifying experience. But if we shun all these fantasy behaviors out the door, we might as well kiss goodbye to porn and everything right behind it.

Not everyone is a rapist just because they look at it this way. The people who need help are the people who can't distinguish fantasy from reality. And with a comment like that, you are labeling people like me deprived rapist. I'm not offended either way, because I know I'm not and I take little to no offense on most people's opinions.

Hopefully you can understand it in a different way because games such as Fallout and Skyrim rolplay as a killer. It just depends what type of killer you are, and, well, in our society, murder is wrong, but most of us know the difference between the game fantasy and reality.

Fantasies are fantasies, repressing them doesn't make them go away; if anything it makes it impossible to express them in an inoffensive way - but they will find a way, if they're intense enough.

Just look at the past, censorship in any form rarely if ever worked as intended.

Anyway, on topic; mind break I find fun. Rape, a bit too dry.

You know there are less firm and more polite ways to share your opinions.

When you say it like that, it totally kills any discussion...

How is anyone to share a different opinion, knowing that you'll hate him for that?

And just so you know - there are a lot of people who *like being raped*.

I only know about girls who are into that though, not a single guy, but that's beyond the point.

It's like pairing sadists with masochists - both sides can be happy about it.

So I don't really see your problem as long as the one being raped doesn't.

Hot.

You from the south states? Incest is just another wrong.

I read the topic and I'm really shocked. Few years back this forum was tolerant, no matter what opinion you had, you weren't ostracized like this.

And now? This comment I quuoted is wrong on so many different levels.

What's wrong about being from the south states? (whatever that is)

Also he didn't say he's gonna go and rape his sister. It's just fantasizing. As long as other people don't get hurt, what's your problem with that?

Damn, this forum really had better days when it comes to discussing controversial stuff.

Oh, and before you burn me on a stake - I'm personally not into rape, or incest, or sado/maso, or zoophylia, coprophylia, pedophylia, other-phylia and so on, and so on. Still if I was, I'd probably have you raging on me simply for saying what I am. It's a real shame. But I guess we had it coming. LoversLab is gaining popularity, so more and more "normal" people create accounts.

De we REALLY have to go there?  Not hating or anything, I'm just sooo sick of the New York Media elite perpetuating that stereotype about the South.  It's kind of the same thing as every guy on every sitcom and commercial being portrayed as a hapless idiot anymore and only the women have a clue.

I was born and raised in California, back here now also, but I spent 13 years in Georgia just outside Atlanta.   Let me tell everybody about the typical Southerner:

They've got a better work ethic than most folks up North or here out West, far less sense of entitlement, a willingness to earn what they want, they're FAR more willing to reach out and help a neighbor instead of saying not my problem, have good values generally speaking, and are far smarter than Yankees give them credit for and more common sense than most people.

On top of that, there's actually LESS racism there nowadays than there is up North.  They've had it beat into them for decades, and in all but the smallest, most backwater communities, they've gotten it.  I've seen it first hand.

Tell you all one other thing I noticed living down South.  It was alot better to be an employee down there despite all the crap you hear about right to work states being horrible and unions are the only way to go.  In Georgia, if you showed up on time and did your job, you were treated like a valued part of a team (as a general rule).  Honest pay for an honest day's work.  Before and after my time in Georgia, I've seen the same thing in California; employees are viewed as an expense not an asset and screwed every way they can be.  Loyalty means nothing.   Granted, I'm speaking in generalities here, but as generalities it's still all true.

Hell, the only reason I'm in California now is because my ex is still in Georgia,  Opposite sides of the country was as far as I could get from her... for now.  :D

Honestly, rape fantasies do not exist, in my opinion. If someone wants to be raped, then, hello! It's not rape.

The rape i mean is abusing someone without their consent. If you want it, it's not the same.

But i'm free minded, everyone is free to have their own fetish, obviously.

As a rape victim, i can only say that you are wrong.

What gets called "rape fantasy" is really nothing more than a BDSM fantasy with the artifice removed. There's a huge amount of playpretend involved with BDSM, from both parties, and thus, it's really not odd that people choose to skip the fakeness of it when in the safety of their own fantasy. What would you rather fantasize about? Driving a racecar? Or driving a Ford Pinto with racing stripes painted on? People tend to go all out in their fantasies, because it's just a fantasy and they can. They want the Bugatti of dreams, not the Pinto of reality.

Having such fantasies, and actually wanting to commit or fall victim to the act are entirely different things, and one does not lead to the other. Just like when someone is beeing a jerk to you and you think "ohh how i would love to kill you, you smug prick", it doesen't mean that you're actually going to do it.

And here's a thought: Did it ever occur to you that for many rape victims, fantasizing about getting "raped" is actually a way for us to deal with what happened to us? To process it and try to recover from it? Yeah, that's actually a thing, and it's a thing for a lot of us, so you're condemning us along with everyone else.

Belive you me, i know that monsters walk among us, because i met one and somehow lived to tell the tale (though there are days i wish i haden't, and i've got the scars and hopital records to prove it). But i can promis you that idle fantasy did not create those monsters. That's not how it works.

If people spent just a fraction of the energy they pour into speaking on behalf of the victims to show how morally righteous they are, into actual advocacy for real and tangible aid to the victims instead (including the male ones, because hell knows we don't get any help at all), then the world might actually be a slightly better place.

Don't use us as your sword and shield dude, we've got enough problems as it is..

If you have hard time differentiating a fantasy from the reality, you need to seek for a professional help actually, and you shouldn't play a game like Skyrim at all, which almost encourages you to be a thief or even a mass murderer.
