CTD with some 3DM cloth/ armor mods ! Please help me !

Hi all,

 

I've get CTD with some 3DM clothes mods (like: dadagnzgg ,etc...). It's make CTD even I just point the mouse cursor to the armor in my item inventory, and it takes a lot of time to display the model if the armor, even some mods that are already translated to English.

 

If any has the solution for this problem, please help me !

If the armor is TBBP or BBP make sure you have a compatible body/skeleton for it, otherwise you'll crash. If it uses HDT Heels, make sure you have the HDT High Heels System, otherwise you'll crash.

Any armor/outfit that causes a CTD you can load it up into nifskope and look at what nodes it has. If it has breast butt belly nodes and you are using a skeleton that doesn't have those nodes then it will cause you to CTD. Many 3dm armors/outfits will have BBP/TBBP as well as HDT for high heels.

Thank you, guys for answering me. However, I'm quite sure it is not caused by skeleton or HDT High Heels because I've use a lot of UNPB BBP / TBBP clothing mod with high heels, even some heavy armor mods like: Emfy Cleric Robes UNPB BBP with 4K texture, Lady Chaos UNPB, Bouncy Bodices Booties Belts And Stockings for UNPB - BBP , etc, .... They are not cause CTD, just some FPS drops. The only thing that I've found is : When I point to the 3DM's armor in my inventory, it takes a lot of time to display the armor model. Is that the problem? And how to fix it?

what i see is your are using mods that your pc cant work with them maybe your pc is a good pc gaming or great pc gaming but is not a Monster PC GAMING so what i trying to say is not install things that your PC cant handle. try something in HD 2K or less and not install mods that you not going to use often. try to not add something heavy because you want to make skyrim looks great, you need to do what your pc can handle and then you can have a Great time playing skyrim.

Thank very much for your advice, maybe the problem is the texture of these mods that are so heavy with my PC. However, the clothes and armors are so beautiful  . Is there any way to reduce these textures?

check if the actor of the armor make that armor with 1024 or 2k Textures.

Not all BBP/TBBP armors work without causing problems from a skeleton or whatever the author used when making the armor. Like the zipsuit mod on the nexus the normal one worked fine but the TBBP one even though I have a TBBP skeleton the TBBP version of the zipsuit would cause a CTD when trying to wear it.

 

How big the nif files for the outfit that is causing the CTD when mousing over them? Sometimes high poly stuff can cause that improper texture paths can cause it. Also if you get too many high poly armors together in one spot like your inventory that will cause a CTD when scrolling through your inventory. If you have a crap ton of stuff in your inventory try dumping everything into a chest while saving off and on in case of CTD so you don't have to keep doing it over and see if that helps.

Thank you, maybe my problem is here. I noted that these authors use the whole armor nif to display in inventory, maybe it cause CTD when my PC can not handle that. I'll try to edit these armors in CK, and see if it helps. I'll let you know later.
