RaceMenu "Head Shape" slider: Which one is the ECE/Ran head mesh?

I'm 90% ready to make the switch to RaceMenu 3, now that Expired added the ability to disable the first morph slider set (i.e. Mouth Shape vs. Mouth Type 2). So far this seems to produce a very similar looking face as my ECE characters.

The only slider I need help with is "Head Shape" which I've read is meant to morph the entire head to match certain head meshes (e.g. Ran, ECE).

However, I can't tell which option is which. Does anyone know?

And does Race matter? (Imperial seems to match better on 0 or 4 while Nord seems to match better on 1)

Extra:

I checked the morphs.ini file and found this line:

extension = Actors\Character\Character Assets\FemaleHeadCharGen.tri,

ece\RANs_HeadFemale.tri,
ece\CME_HeadFemale.tri,
ece\ECEHeadFemale_1.tri,
ece\ECEHeadFemale_2.tri,
ece\ECEHeadFemale_3.tri,
nuska\femaleheadchargen.tri,
extra\RM_femaleheadchargen.tri,
expressions\EXPR_femalehead.tri

But that didn't help me much since that has more tri files than slider options (9 tri files vs. 6 slider options)

Mostly the head mesh is located in the mesh\actor\femaleassets\ here

Basically if you want ECE head you just go download that and overwrite.

I doubt that they included a head mesh into the racemenu from ece.

But I could be wrong, there might be stuff in the readme about this.

I'm asking about the Head Shape slider. It's a morph, not a mesh.

I believe the slider morph is meant to imitate various meshes. I'm trying to understand which morph corresponds to what mesh imitations. I have to pick a a slider option, so I want to know what maps to what.

Morph's I think work off of either something like FaceGeometry Folder which would be meshes or Head.tri files which as I understand it store color information from the CK.

As far as making an ECE character, you just need to install the Head.nif, and I believe there are some Race Edits in ECE's esp that change the texture pathing to stuff in its folders.

I am using a face from SBF-all in one, the characters were likely made from ECE.  Im using it with Racemenu, I just moved the FaceGeometry meshes to skse\plugins\chargen\ folder or was it \presets.

Anyways ya its doable, but I don't think a simple head mesh swap makes the whole transition.

You're missing my point. I'm not trying to swap the head mesh.

I just want to know what the morph sliders correspond to. You have to select a slider option, so I want to know what it maps to.

The thing is that the Head Mesh does effect the outcome for  the look.

I also said that I didn't know for certain what the head slider did in Racemenu, this might be better answered at their forum or perhaps its in the documentation.

The head mesh does affect the look, but so does the morph, so if you have the wrong morph set, it's going to look wrong anyway.

I don't know what number it is, I just wanted to drop in and say that replacing the actual head mesh is unnecessary with RaceMenu indeed (and makes for a less clean game).

And @Effie:

That slider has existed in RM for more than a year. ;)

Unnecessary indeed... if we knew which head shape morph option corresponded to the ECE headmesh!

=\ Too bad there's no documentation.

I am sure i forgot what i was even referring to, but i think i mean a way to disable mouth shape 2 etc - But that doesn't matter anymore, cause i decided to switch to racemenu last night haha.

Still using ECE preset though, but i couldn't say no to all the other utilities it has :P
