Contessa Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I've had this issue with textures in Skyrim and I can't figure out why. It doesn't matter what texture I use, it's always there, save for one. Fair Skin Complexion doesn't have this issue, maybe it's something the creator did to resolve it but I don't know about such things so I ask here.  Here's a few quick screenshots I took to show the issue, the textures are SG Textures Renewal, but like I said, any skin texture save for FSC has the issue in shaded areas:  Nude Screenshot links in spoilers so beware   http://i.imgur.com/YIMPdJB.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/RuPPLnV.jpg   My issue is the weird "dirty" look they get when outside in shaded areas. What causes this and how could I get rid of the problem?
Effie Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Don't know if this will help, but try to use this file http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29791/? Do you play the game with low settings? Might be that. Cause i think that's just how the textures are. The "dirt" isn't really visible with enbs and such.
Contessa Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 No, I set it to High and fiddled with a few things. Textures are always at the max settings. I don't have any lighting mods installed presently, so it may be a vanilla issue in terms of lighting? Â This issue only shows up outside. In dungeons and other interior areas things are fine.
Effie Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Weird. But did you try the mod i linked?  Before and after pic with the mod     If the mod doesn't work, you can try to use the _sk.dds files from Fair Skin.
Contessa Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Installing it now, gonna try it out. Looks like it may be the one though, we'll see!
Contessa Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Well it was improved but not gone. Still it was way better so thanks. Perhaps I should look into some of those lighting mods to erase the issue completely. Â I'm curious as to what option Fair Skin Complexion has that completely eliminated the problem. Would it be the Subsurface Scatter/Disabling option? Whatever that is.
Effie Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Could be, i'm not sure. But you can always test by using the _sk.dds file from fair skin and see if it improves or not. The _sk are the subsurface scattering ^^
Contessa Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Thanks for your quick help also cute character you have.
