Aliaga Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I apologize in advance for the stupid question, but I'm using NMM because FOMM keeps wanting to crash. I got a number of mods required for Sexout (BnB, MCM) and a few to test the menu. However, since I'm a complete dunce at even putting files in the correct places, I'm fairly lost on stuff that I can't just click "Download with Manager" for. I have the files mentioned in the main Sexout thread unzipped and on my computer, but no idea how to get the Manager to pick them up. Again, I'm very sorry for this stupid question, but I've looked through the forums and haven't found a direct answer to this sort of thing. Thanks a ton in advance, guys. Spring break just started, and I was planning on spending it under New Vegas critters. -Aliaga
zippy57 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 For whatever reason, NMM can't import loose files, only archives. You'll have to zip them back up and then try to load them in.
Aliaga Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Okay, gotcha. Where should I load them to in order for the NMM to pick them up?
zippy57 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Put them somewhere easy to navigate to, like your desktop. Open NMM, click on the Mods tab, then on the top icon on the left-hand side (the puzzle piece with a +). Now just navigate to the archive and select it. EDIT: An alternate method is to manually put the archive into whatever folder you told NMM to store mod data in, but I don't offhand remember what the default directory for that is to tell you.
Aliaga Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Excellent! Got everything on and working to a degree. Can't seem to get the Combat Rape to work (I installed Brutal Rapers, though maybe I need to uninstall the regular Rapers?), and when a Stalker rapes me, I seem to disappear until he's done... Anyway, thanks a ton for the help. Couldn't have done it without you.
zippy57 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Don't run Rapers and BrutalRapers at the same time. Sexout will actually yell at you if you try that. If you initiate sex while in first-person the engine likes to make you invisible. Try turning telephoto on in the Sexout MCM menu and see if that helps.
Dmouse52 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I use NMM and most of the time have no problem although i can't use the BOG replacer or other select FOMOD files. Its fairly easy to use but i do miss FOMM which i thought would act as back-up at the time
Aliaga Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Alright, got the game working so I'm not invisible during sex, but still unable to get the combat rape to work. Having to run demi-god mode so the Deathclaws won't kill me. >.<
Aliaga Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Edit: Scratch all of that. Working fine. Thanks for the help, everyone!
Madmartigan34 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 What did you do to make it work? Mine doesn't.
Aliaga Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 I reinstalled all the newest stuff from the Sexout main page, the Brutal Rapers from post 601 here (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2107&page=61), as well as a few bells and whistles once I got everything running. As was said earlier, a few settings need to be tweaked. And apparently turning off everything related to Sexout, loading a game, then making a fresh save without Sexout mods activated, then exiting and reloading it all again helps reset stuff to get it working again. And of course, the other things (Common Resources, NVSE, etc) that are required. Thanks to the mod manager overwriting the old stuff and sorting the files fairly well, re-downloading everything often fixes problems. At least it did for me. Not sure if that was clear. I'm still only about 30% sure of what I'm doing.

[/quote'] This is what is called creating a "clean save". It is the only way to purge the save game of all previous versions. The only other choice is starting a new game. You are on the right track......raise that bar to 60%
