PuuhBear2 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Hi guys i got an new pc and started to mod skyrim again but i cant make my body oily i edited femalebody_1.nif in nifscope (Glossiness and Specular Strength) but nothing changes could it be that my enb has sth to do with it (RealVision) hope u can help me
imacarl Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 there are two primary factors that affect glossiness 1. What you mentioned, the glossiness/specular strength. This affects only the Nif being modified in question 2. ENB's Specular Day/Night/Interior values. Increasing this increases the effect a lot, but effects the entire environment as a whole so you dont necessarily have to use a different ENB altogether, just play with the Specular values in the ENB console till the enviornment is not too bright for you, then adjust the NIF's Glossiness and specular value(you dont have to close the game everytime you modify the values, just open the NIF, change a value and save. Then in game, equip an armor that covers it then unequip)
PuuhBear2 Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 i tryed the sporty sexy sweat and an equipable armour # im using un7b btw but i tryed sevenbase too Edit: and i edit the files in the ModOrganizer folder but on my old pc it worked fine
myuhinny Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 @PuuhBear2 **i edited femalebody_1.nif in nifscope (Glossiness and Specular Strength) but nothing changes** Of course nothing is going to change if you only do it to 1 nif when you change/modify one nif you have to do the same thing to the other nif as well or it will not change/appear in game. So you have to do it to the femalebody_1.nif save as then repeat for the femalebody_0.nif.
imacarl Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 well i tryed it and it dosnt help :/ what values for glossiness and specular strength are you using?
myuhinny Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 @PuuhBear2 Are you editing the correct ones? If you have more then one body mod or race mod installed you player might be using a different one instead. My race I found out was using a different texture folder then the one that it should of been using when I was trying to get tattoo's to work.
KristyllLascivicious Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 The values thing is pretty important. I know the tutorial for it recommends values that do not work. Try setting the gloss to like 300 or so and the specular strength to around 50.
PuuhBear2 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 i installed un7b and textures for it (ECE and univision face too) gloss is on 1000 and specular strength is on 30 (worked fine on old pc)
PuuhBear2 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 sorry bad english dont understand what u try to tell me
Vivi Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Click on More Reply Options and add the body you use as an attachment so we can check why it doesn't work ^^
PuuhBear2 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 it took a while till i recognized what u want :DD here it is thatsBody UN7B.rar exaclty my game file
myuhinny Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Are these the ones that you modified or are they just the ones that you are trying to modify? Because I just looked at all of the nifs and glossiness float was only at 30.0000. I set them to 1000.0000 which is max. Body UN7B and New (High Heels) Feet - A New Body Replacer.7z
PuuhBear2 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 hm this is strage i modified it and u got default values when i want to open my files with nifscope the files i modified have an padlock in the minipicture (i think thats the problem) i will test ur file thx well your file works but why cant i change sth..?
myuhinny Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Not sure what a paddle lock is. I just clicked the body the looked for BSLightingShaderProperty underneath the highlighted line in the left list then hit the arrow to the left of it to get the drop down double clicked the number for glossiness float changed it then clicked a different line to get it to take effect and then used the save as to overwrite the nif. Then repeated for each nif.
PuuhBear2 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 thats exactly what i did idk why but when i load the nif files from my MO folder it dont work thx for all ur help now im happy found a way it works and some blackmagic fixed my neck gap
