Editing Armor meshes (cutting and similar)

If a item that you want to remove isn't attached to anything you can remove it in nifskope by right clicking the piece then using block - remove branch this will remove the item piece and anything attached to that piece *do not* use remove or you will make a dirty nif because it only removes the items but leaves anything else attached to it in the nif. Repeat for the 2nd nif.

If the item is attached to something then you would have to do as Nephenee13 suggested and use a 3d program or you can load the texture file up for the piece and cut out that texture spot in the texture file with gimp2 then use the overwrite .dds file then go to your nif file load it up and right click the item that you cut the texture part from and go to node - attach property - NiAlphaProperty then save as.

This will make what you cut out of the texture file disappear in the nif when you are looking at it in nifskope the armor will need to be rendered in nifskope for the part to disappear so you can look at it and see if you like it or not. If you don't like it go back to gimp2 and use the undo option to change it back and use the overwrite .dds file if you like it Repeat the node - attach property - NiAlphaProperty save as for the 2nd nif because what you do to one nif has to be done to the 2nd one as well or it will not appear in game.
