JustikaD Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Hey there! I'm wondering if anyone will edit the UNP Barbarian armor from Immersive Armors (found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19733/?)to remove the skirt and panties while keeping the bra and armbands. This is the armor here: http://i.imgur.com/oNRcsDh.jpg I know that it's probably simple, that someone experienced with this could probably do it in five minutes with no problems, but I've been trying for five hours now with various tutorials for nifskope, blender, photoshop (to hide the textures) and I can't figure it out. I have an idea for a mashup armor with a few other mods and I no matter where I look, I can't find another top that matches as well as this one. I attached the nif that the armor uses (both of them, not sure exactly what the differences, they both look the same) and I'm hoping someone will be kind enough to spare a little bit of their time and figure this out for me. All I need is the nif, I can make the esp and add it to the game myself. I went into a sevenbase conversion of the armor (found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40090/?)and I noticed the nif didn't have all the extra stuff that the original one seemed to have. But I have no idea how to convert an armor between body types anyway. I'd offer some sort of compensation but I don't have much to offer. Unless you play WoW on Moon Guard US and want some gold or something, lol. Plenty of that. Thanks for reading~ Barbarian2.rar
kingkong Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 can not test as i did not install skyrim yet . Bra and arms only.7z
JustikaD Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 Tested it ingame, the armbands show up but the bra doesn't. Skirt and panties are gone though. When I was playing around with it in nifskope I noticed the bra and panties seemed to be one model. Not sure how or if it's even possible for it to be separated to keep the bra but lose the panties. Thanks again for taking your time to help me!
kingkong Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 you need to prepare first the file to be imported in blender (Heather numbers and delete bslighting... and convert bsdsmember... to niskininstance) you import the file after saving the file.nif and you in ' edit mod ' (blender) highlight and select what you want to separate and ' separate ' . than you export it as fallout3 file.nif . to finish you open the file.nif frechly done and the one source where you copy and past the the branche and point the bslighting... (textures) . save it and test ingame. this is where you need to open the file with nifskope and axamine the file : you right click on the nitristrip and select ' mesh ' than ' triangulate ' (it will make a nitrishape) you need to do the same to file_0.nif and file_1.nif seconde you look at the bslightingshaderProprety to see if i did not any mistake (wrong texture path or anything else ). sorry i can not help more as i have no skyrim installed . may be someone else can fix this.
The Matrix Prime Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I don't think you'll be able to do this with NifSkope alone. The panties and bra are considered the same piece on this armor. Outfit Studios might be able to make the panties "zap" -able, but sadly I've never been able to get that feature to work properly.
Serithi Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 If the pants are their own object in the mesh, you can easily deal with them in Bodyslide just by deleting them directly. I'm downloading now to have a look, hopefully it's an easy fix. EDIT: Alright, got a look at it. Two things. First off, Jesus fucking Christ this is a mess, stuff's moved around and named shittily. Now i see what Groovtama was talking about. However, good news, the pants are their own objects so i can just delete them right then and there, aside from some underpants that's part of the bra object but i should be able to figure that out. I'm more concerned with the fact the bra and bracelets aren't even on the body itself, i have no idea in hell as to how that even works when loaded in the game. EDIT: Yeah, i'm thinking that a Zap slider might be the way to go as a workaround, but hell if i can figure out how to get it working. But later, after sleep and hopefully someone edumacating me on this matter . EDIT: The damn thing doesn't even... i would like to find whoever thought it would be a good idea to position the clothing like this, and throw them out a window. Why the hell is this even a thing asdfgh EDIT: Finally figured out the positioning. Just gotta figure out the friggin Zap slider stuff. Also, i'd imagine you'll want it weighted for HDT?
Serithi Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Also, doubleposting to bump this, is this for purely personal use or will you be uploading the mashup? Either way i've still gotta get permission from Hothtrooper before i can upload a finished product, since he's specified he doesn't want any modified IA stuff up without his permission. But i know you won't be able to actually publicly upload the mashup, since he's also specified he doesn't want the stuff uploaded anywhere else (and for that matter, i'll probably have to PM it to you when i'm done just to be safe). Still trying to figure out the Zap slider. How the fuck do i even? I'm right friggin here, all i need to do is get these final panties removed, everything else is dealt with, but this is being a pain. If someone with more Bodyslide knowledge wants to take a crack at this instead, i know the exact repositioning numbers, which bits to delete, and the right reference body to get it fitted so you can weight it for HDT. Let me know.
JustikaD Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Yeah it's just for personal use. Never intended to upload it anywhere else, you can just PM it to me if you'd prefer. Wish I could help but I'm useless with this kind of stuff.
Ayn Sof Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Regarding the "hide texture" method, have you tried this yet? Use GIMP with dds plugin/photoshop. Delete the unwanted texture parts (a bit trial and error) using the eraser tool (or color picker the alpha), then open your armor nif, insert nialphaproperty (with flags 4844, this is important) in the armor mesh nitrishape block. It works for me. Tried to download the immersive armors for the texture but it's just too big 900+ mb lol
