Strange Shadow Effect

Hi,

Im having an Issue with shadows in Skyrim. At first i thought it may be that having shadowmap resolution at 4k was too much for my CPU but i tried putting it down to 1k and it is still the same. The issue can be clearly seen here on these boxes. I see this problem everywhere, it is also very prevalent on Hair. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

You've probably been fiddling around in ENB settings, ran across this problem a few times myself too after playing with the settings.

After a lot of changing settings again I found out it's caused by turning off the "Usebilateralshadowfilter" in the shadow sub part, turn this on and it should be normal again.

I don't know which exact setting does this, but I remember I had this exact problem when I was fiddling with shadow settings in skyrimprefs.ini. So perhaps if you try to put them to some recommended ones like here for example

It wasn't the bilateral shadow filter, i had that enabled, but Effies link helped me sort it, i think the issue was i had 0 blur on my shadows, but i could be wrong, will continue tweaking until i find a happy medium between comic book style dots and blurry mess.
