hashigicc9 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 The idea came to me like a blast when i searched a little on this forum and saw some people asking for voice acting, i have a good voice and i was thinking, "well, why not?" so i want to help anyone who needs someone for a character, and that's how i present myself and anyone else who wants to help, please comment here, so the modders/scripters can see and choose which one they want. Edit 1 : I'm gonna use these lines from my favorite character from Final Fantasy XIII Saga - Caius Ballad - "Time is our greatest obsession. I really want to get a position on voice acting for modders/scripters here. Edit 3 : Just a reminder, i'm not good with english, as you already all have guessed. English isn't my native language, and i had a very hard time to learn them on my own, and i still have some difficulties, but i think i can get a point. So, please, be a little patient with me, that's all i'm asking for. I still hope i can get a position here on helping, even with just a little voice acting. I don't want to let Skyrim go away like that, and i want to inspire and help as much as i can.

In the past people from another forum and i used this site http://vocaroo.com/~it lets anyone do a quick little recording sample and then it's saved there and can be shared. That way you don't need your own site place to upload a voice sample file. Although maybe you could save one and do it as an attachment here as well? Just thought it could help modders if they had, immediately, voice samples to listen to of people who wanted to try a hand at voice acting for one of their mods.
Guest Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I am quite interested actually but I am right now over my head with RL issues but for my mod I want to add a character that you gets captured with you, and in some instances of the quest line you are joined by this companion in your shared hardships and when you manage to break out the follower will have relevant things to say (since he/she knows your background) So essentially its nothing 'sexual' and its only there to add more immersion to the situation. Thats the plan anyway.

No moanings or similar. Just some sentences for the main dialogues. One NPC is male, one is female. If you are interested please send me a PM.

And the dialogues are related to the management of the activity. No need for a sexy voice. If you really like to participate, I can provide you all the lines for the male character or the female character. Here a few examples: [male]: "Sure. Buy some Cum Shot Brothel Cards and give them. For each person that will come you will get a compensation." [male]: "Dumby, get to work!" [male]: "Excellent! Girls do a quick strip for the new Silver Member!" [female]: "Quickly! Take a shower!" [female]: "You are a Platinum member Haelga, you can do whatever you want." [female]: "As you wish! Girls, go to get some potions, you will need them."

Well, i tried, i don't think it's so good, but if you even like it or if you are willing on giving me another chance, could you describe me about that male manager? Like, is he Age : Younger? Prime? Older? Personality : Mysterious? Narcissistic? Calm? Is he like a bad man? Or a good and tough guy? Voice : His voice is deep, light or more natural? ^I think these are going to help me a lot on producing a better version of the voice you want.

A little bit greedy and like a miss-star. (He is the one that presents all the "employees" of the brothel.) If you don't mind, you can try the mod, to have an idea of his role. Thanks,

I will send you all dialogue lines maybe with my recording to check the intonation for a few of them. (My voice is not good, and I have a super-strong Italian accent.) Let me know.

I will try one more time the Caius version, with a more clear and better voice, and yes, i think i am interested on helping you, so please, by all means, if you want, you can provide me the male dialogues, and i'll see what to do about that. Given the manager's point of view, i think i have a better image on my mind.

I'll dl it right now and i'll go straight to the Brothel! ......See, how much of awkward this could be if you heard me saying it? XD Alright! Now let's go and play, find Ms. Kitty so she can fix me up with a nice hooker! EDIT : There seems to be a problem, i downloaded the beta 0.6 version, installed it right, and i get ctd when it tries to start. I deactivated all of my mods, same thing, don't know what's happening.

In the archive you will find a text file with all the lines, organized by quest/scene. And a set of mp3 files recorded by me to have an idea of the tone I would like for the sentences. Now, i know some dialogues may be heard a little off, but if you don't like it, please, consider on giving me another chance, sending me the bad dialogues so i can rework and fix them. Guest Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Checked the Briehl voices. They are good for me (strong accent but ok.) Can I ask you what is your original language? Will be more easy to suggest some different pronunciation for some words. For example: "wish" is not pronounced as "vis", there is a "sch" sound at the end. It is a "ʃ" like "ship" "Choose" is another example, you pronounce it like "cho'se", the sound of the double "o" is more like a "ʊ" (foot, good, put), it is ok also if it is pronunced like a "u" (thank you, influence, situation) I am ok with your work. I will check the other recordings and I will tell you if there is any sentence that should be adjusted. Good job so far. Thanks for helping me.

If you want you can send me some updates today. If I will receive something I will use it right away. (version 0.6.2) If not it will be for a future release. (version 0.6.3 or 0.7)
Guest Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Ok, I am almost done with the utilization of your samples. I had to remove the background noise and to normalize the volume. I tried it in the game. It is ok, but the voice is a little bit weird. You will see the final result in the version that will be released later today.
