How do I make my spouse a follower?

I married Ingun Black-Briar, and I wanna take her on quests. What script do I need to make Ingun a follower? Puppet Master seems crude for wanting her to follow and fight with me and stuff...

Every time I think I used the right script, I end up with incorrect results, for damn there every mod I make. :D Ended up just using the console to make her a wife option, since the scripts I keep trying never seem to give me the right dialogue for marriage.

I also tried making a wife option mod for Haelga, but she would always walk back to Riften, and I'd never sleep with her, 'cause she'd be gone, and then she'd teleport to my house every time I sleep (Lovers Comfort), and begin her journey back to Riften. Thought I removed those sandbox scripts, but I guess not.

This is really about Ingun though. Spouse as follower?

Oh you poor poor boy. Head over heels for one of the only attractive women in Skyrim you cannot by default marry. I remember the day I was like you, I ended up learning a valuable lesson.

Anyways did you try altering her package and adding the right factions into the list? There are mods to make everyone your follower and whatnot too.

My current marriage is with Morwen, but I'm thinking of divorce since I came home to see her being anally pounded by Lydia and her strap-on. :'( </3 (Never leave your partner for long otherwise they'll find someone else to tend to their needs) I now see why so many people hate Lydia and make videos of her being shouted off the mountains or smacked sky high by giants.

Also if you want a good divorce mod check this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52909/?

So you can find a better suitor for your needs. This is how I divorced Serana after she was taking half of Solitude's men into our bedroom once I returned home after completing the Bard's College quest and giving the sweet rolls to the kids. :'(

I made Sylgja a follower in my game by adding factions to her in the CK. You need to add the PotentialFollowerFaction and the CurrentFollowerFaction, and you need to edit the rank of the CurrentFollower from 0 to -1. Once she likes you enough in the game, follower dialogue will then appear - provided she uses a voice type compatible with followers, which Sylgja and Ingun both do. So with Sylgja, once I've taken her satchel to Darkwater Crossing and back I see the "follow me, I need your help" dialogue.

Step 8 of this guide tells you what you need to do about the factions, including making them a marriage candidate if they aren't already.

To avoid adding in an extra esp just for this I made the change in an NPC overhaul mod.

I never marry people you can marry by default. I've even been married to Elisif. Didn't work out too well.

As for that divorce mod, I already use it. :P So far, she hasn't cheated, though the person on the Potential Lover list is our daughter...I better get home!

Well yeah, I can add those to the list and make a esp (already did, actually, but didn't use it yet), but will that mess anything up in our current marriage? She'll still be my wife when I add it, right? I ask because I married her by unnatural means (console).

Since she's my wife, she obviously likes me :sleepy:. Follower option should pop right up.

I don't use follower mods. The second I read about incompatibilties with those, I didn't even bother. It's why Multiple Marriages got uninstalled and deleted.

Really, I'm just concerned that making a mod for Ingun now may jeopardize our current forced marriage (or shotgun wedding, as I call it), or even our parent status to our (CK created) adopted kid. I suppose the console command is what I was looking for, since that can be done right there in the game, and results could be tested right away.

If making a follower mod for her won't screw stuff up, I'll just activate the one I made. Haven't had the chance to test it because I'm currently enslaved, and trying to earn some freedom, so I can go use the damn mod and see what happens. Didn't wanna activate it, and go back to find Ingun gone. Not her. She's the perfect vampire spouse. :) Can't think of anyone better.

Yeah, that's a good point. I'd probably avoid adding the marriage faction to her in a mod if you've already used the console to get her up the aisle. I wouldn't have thought adding her as a follower would mess your marriage up, but Skyrim does like to be Skyrim. Sometimes things get messed up when they shouldn't.

Easiest thing to do would be to get back to her and make a save, then install the follower mod you made for her, load your save and see if it works. With MO you can go back to how it was with a few clicks, as you obviously know. (Thanks for first directing me towards MO, by the way. It's a brilliant tool!)

Whole post = true. I'll just have to find a way to make Narri happy enough to let me venture home, save, install the mod, get on my knees, pray that it works, stand back up, and see what happens.

I really need to make a marriage mod for her, that makes her a follower. I should do that for Haelga, and Sylgja (I like her too), and other obvious ass, so it can just be done.

The entire problem there is that, to get some of them to act like a wife, other scripts need to be deleted, like sanboxes. This could change more stuff than I'd like, so I'll either 1) need to be careful, or 2) need someone's help. I sometimes fail to get the dialogue to show up when I try (thus ruining the whole purpose of the mod).

I know who I wanna change, so it's a project I'll pursue, if only I can find time away from PMs and Sims modding.

Do you know the console command for following? Maybe that will work? If there's one for marriage, and one (3) for divorce, then there gotta be one for followers, that doesn't mess up marriages...

To add someone to the current follower faction the command is:

addfac 5c84d 1

This is presumably what something like Amazing Follower Tweaks does when you choose to make them a follower by selecting "manage with AFT." I'd probably suggest finishing any quests she's involved in before doing it, though, if you haven't already.

There's a guide here on nexus that gives instructions of the procedure, including some useful commands to give them classes and combat styles. I've never tried any of this myself so I can't speak from experience on it.

Lots of good stuff on that page. This is likely what I'll do. How do I make a mod that uses this code on command? Would be nice to just cast a spell at someone that adds that command to them.
