QuiteTheTail Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Hello! I just joined the family. I found this site following a link from the readme of SetBody Blockhead Edition (I have an account on tesnexus too), so out of curiosity created a LL account, and here I am. There'll be more time to introduce myself elsewere, I posted directly here to get some starters. I plan to "migrate" from SexDarkness (funny mod, that one) to Lovers with PK, and so I started reading the pinned topics about installation, but still a couple of doubts remain. Â 1) Is the MBP (acronym for?) package really required? Let me elaborate, is it possible to install the mod without including additional races and related resources (at the cost of losing some content of corse)? A lightweight install, I mean. Â 2) Sexdarkness provided optional add-ons for strapons that worked wonders, but had problems with older versions of SetBody. The Blockhead Edition is fully compatible instead. I wonder, is there a similar functionality in LwPK? And what's more, is it possible to specify (through OBSE scripts, I think) a whitelist of body replacers that should not use a strapon? Â Sorry for my crappy english.
ljacquard Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hi, and welcome to LL, QuiteTheTail!  You may have already done that, but there are quite a good number of pinned threads in the <Lovers with PK> (new name = LAPF) forum which I would like to encourage you at least reading through. They're very informative, and may help you avoid mistakes in installing LAPF, and provide answers to question you could have about it in the future. The LL forums here in general are a wealth of knowledge. I hope you'll find them as interesting as me.  To answer your questions proper :  1/ It is definitely possible. That's why I actually do, since I hold OCOv2 (and complements) as a superior option to MBP and co. The only LAPF mods for which this decision really matters are of the "Hiyoko" sub-branch, which manage offspring. I would advise you to start slow, install LAPF one package after another, and see if they work in game like you want before proceeding to the next, instead of installing them all at once. Much easier to debug potential issues that way.  Be aware that BOSS is reliable for other TES4 mods, but does not properly handle most LAPF mods.  A recommendantion for a general load order is provided here instead : http://www.loverslab.com/topic/4487-please-read-before-posting-here  That's why I use BUM, a user list manager, and override what BOSS says about LAPF mods with my own decisions : http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/39215  One rule of thumb (but an iron one that one) : always place <LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp> and <LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp> dead last in your load order, after your bashed/merged match.   2/ LAPF indeed offers similar options. I use these mods :  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27879-problem-replacing-futa-with-strapons http://www.loverslab.com/topic/14613-fejeenas-stuff/?do=findComment&comment=322908  I will leave it to more knowledgeable than me to tell you if it's possible to whitelist bodies to use strap-ons or not.   Once again welcome, and above all have fun!
gregathit Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Modular Beautiful People. Â It is required only by some LPK plugins, not all. Â Some of the LPK plugins have no-MBP alternate versions. MBP is simply a resource for anime looking races. Â There is no story content or anything else to it. No, there is no "light weight" version. Â The LAPF is light years more advanced and stable than Sex Darkness. Â Strap-ons and futa cocks are built right into it. Â Setbody also has an adaptive plugin called lovers joysticks for even more compatibility. Â You can NOT however just use any old strap-on or futa cock (or male penis mod)! Â You MUST use one that is LAPF compatible. Â The reason for this is the animations are designed around using an animated penis (LAPF = Lovers Animated Penis Framework). Â If you use a non-compatible penis\strap-on\futa cock - you will have fucked up animations (ie the dick won't go in the pussy or ass). Â Â See the setbody mod we have here at Lovers Lab as it is what you need to make things work right. Â Also read the LAPF instructions and follow them. Â It will save you a ton of grief. Â Welcome to the site. Â Cheers, Greg
QuiteTheTail Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Thank you so much, ljacquard and Greg. This is exactly what I asked for. My only regret is that I will miss that cute Cherry character, her mates at the Moonlight Inn, and the SexDarkness storyline and quests. Wait, could that be they are included?
gregathit Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Nope. Â No one has adapted the Moonlight inn to LPK. Â There are some pretty cool LPK mods however and the animations are tons better. Â
Vaelorian Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Copying NPCs from one plugin to another is extremely simple to do, if slightly time consuming the first time around. You'll have to make new dialog though.
QuiteTheTail Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Thanks again, guys. My OMOD creator is up and running eh eh... Sorry for being persistent, I was reading this archived post and found a dead link. Probably the file has been removed, it's Emily's monster girl mod I'm talking about. Can you confirm it?
Vaelorian Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 A simple search would have given you the renamed thread: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19572-monster-girl-coc-14-plaguepatch-27112013/
QuiteTheTail Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Ok, thanks Vaelorian, I will save the link for later use. I have enough work for now just to get started... I have no other questions for now.
QuiteTheTail Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 WOOT!!! Got it all working at the first attempt! I feel so lucky. By the way, amazing guides and support. Thank you!
