"FNIS has not been properly run or installed"

Hello, I am getting the error message from loverlab saying fnis hasnt been installed. The problem is I have installed it and ran it, all of the animations I have tried are running properly, I still get this error every time I load a game though.

It started popping up after having to reinstall some files by verifying the steam cache, I am guessing it has something to do with that, but I am not sure what I need to do to fix it.

Halp? :(

Edit: I am using mod organizer, if that helps

Had this problem as well. I'm also using MO. It helped me to reinstall FNIS and re-run the FNIS Behaviour Generator on all profiles. Cannot exactly say what is causing this though, I guess it has to do with the mod isolation method MO uses.

When you say you're using MO, does that mean you're running FNIS from within MO?  I had mixed success with FNIS until I finally added it to the big MO run button.  Now it works flawlessly.

It is indeed. You see, MO does not install the mods in Skyrim's Data folder but rather in a different place and then instructs the game to load the enabled mods from that location hence why it complains. I heard there is a way around this message but I did not switch into MO myself just yet so I cannot be sure of that, frankly speaking. I will do so rather quite soon.

As long as the animation works, I believe it is fine...for now.

If you have Skyrim and MO installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\... then you should set MO + Skyrim + all executables to be run through MO into permanent admin mode.

I have my steam folder and all of my pc games on a seperate drive, so its all in one big "games" folder, not programs. I'm fairly sure MO was already running in admin mode, not sure about the other executables though, would that matter?

I'm not sure if this will help you or not but I would say it is worth having a look at. This is Gopher's MO guide and in this video he talks about how to install and manage FNIS using MO. If I remember correctly, he mentions your issue somewhere between minute 7-8. As I said, worth watching it all.
