TS3.EXE or TS3W.EXE  a few times i had issues where my launcher wouldnt even start, so i'd bypass it by using one of those files. it can be found in C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin or alternatively you can right click the sims 3 icon on your desktop then selecting open file location and find the files that way as well.

Dreamshade Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 About the Kinky Books: I could buy them from the bookstore and use them without any problems. Only Nraas Decensor installed. But after I've installed some of the Nraas Career mods the books are not available anymore at the bookstore. The books my sims bought before I installed the career mods are still in the inventory and usable. Maybe adding the books to the Online shopping stuff? Just an idea....
mrinku Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 A tip for avoiding Origin is to get the game through Steam, especially for any expansions you need. They're normally $5 most Steam sales, and there's often bundles. I picked up Sims 3, Pets, Seasons and Generations in a bundle for about $15. Since I didn't have any of those 3 EPs before, it was an easy decision. Only downside is that because of the EA license conditions you can't use non-steam codes on the Steam installation (although the steam codes can be used on Orign installs).

But I do remember reading about those files and trying it. No matter what I did, the launcher always came up. So I had just figured it no longer worked and the posts I had read were to old.

TS3.EXE or TS3W.EXE  a few times i had issues where my launcher wouldnt even start, so i'd bypass it by using one of those files. it can be found in C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin or alternatively you can right click the sims 3 icon on your desktop then selecting open file location and find the files that way as well.  It's been quite a long time since I looked it up, long before the 1.69 update. But I do remember reading about those files and trying it. No matter what I did, the launcher always came up. So I had just figured it no longer worked and the posts I had read were to old.  1.69 its now ts3.exe
