Blush When Aroused

For those having an issue with blush with aroused with the new framework (and possibly slavetats or racemenu);

Go to your nioverride.ini file. WHERE IS THAT FILE?!?! you may ask?

 

Mine is in the;

 

"modorganizer/mods/racemenus/skse/plugins/"

 

directory because I use racemenu which comes with nioverride bundled in it (If you don't have racemenu I'd suggest installing nioverride).

If you don't use modorganizer, or racemenu, then you'll just have to hunt it up yourself.

Edit the nioverride.ini file so that this section;

 

[Overlays/Face] ; "Face [Ovl#]" and "Face [sOvl#]"

; Determines how many face overlays there should be

iNumOverlays=3; Default[3]

iSpellOverlays=1 ; Default[1]

 

looks like this;

 

[Overlays/Face] ; "Face [Ovl#]" and "Face [sOvl#]"

; Determines how many face overlays there should be

iNumOverlays=6 ; Default[6]

iSpellOverlays=1 ; Default[1]

 

THEN (and this is important);

Go to the;

"BLUSHES (player)"

 

tab in the "blush when aroused" tab of the MCM. At the top right under settings, click "presets" and choose "preset 5".

If you don't see a blush, try changing the preset until you see it come up. 

Btw, I did try the "clean save" option, but it wasn't reliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. 

This mod is not incompatible with the updates. You just might have to tweak it a bit.

Just a heads up; when I did the above, when I loaded in I got a message saying that the character or race I had selected was not supported by Blush When Aroused (the message flashed by pretty fast); I had picked a Breton Female, So I reloaded as second time and all was well. I'm wondering if there could be something going on where a race tag is getting activated accidentally for some of these people. I know I couldn't get BWA to work on my older game that I'd upgraded to the new SL framework.

Just poking in briefly.  As I am fond of saying, there are times when I'm modding and times when I'm busy with other things.  Regrettably, I don't envision any significant return to Skyrim; too much RL going on, and then I will without a doubt be too focused on FO4.  I've been sitting on a BWA update for many months.  Nothing to fix, but it adds expressions, and the effect can be pretty good.  The problem is that it can also be excessively resource-intensive because of all the variables involved, and the brutal fact of the matter is that expression control in Skyrim is very haphazard, and unwanted side-effects - such as expressions inexplicably forcing themselves on when loading an unrelated game save - are practically guaranteed to occur.  Expressions also do not play nice with talking, further reducing their appeal (think: moans during SexLab sequences).  The poor state of expression control caused me to drop the idea before it was fully complete.

 

SexLab 1.60+: I updated just now and BWA still works, as others have reported.

SexLab Aroused Redux 21: BWA still works, although the self-arousal hotkey ultimately increases arousal by 40 rather than the intended 20, due to changes in how influences external to SLA are handled.  Not something I expect to need to fix.

 

There is a very simple reason why BWA should be expected to still work with these two mods: Interaction between them is passive.  BWA basically watches for broadcasts from those mods and acts upon them.  The only way something in BWA could thoroughly break when updating those mods is if the authors decided to change the names of their broadcasts or major variables - something which would without question break the functionality of every mod which relies upon them, which means the authors will never choose to do that.

 

I know that is no help at all to anyone who has encountered issues after upgrading.  The unfortunate truth is that there's no convenient way for me to troubleshoot issues that I do not personally experience, even when I have time to do so.  The most I can suggest is to bear in mind the requirements of the mods you use - for example, it can be easy to forget that BWA requires two NiOverride face slots, and if you install a bunch of new mods all at once and somehow saturate your available slots (or, worse, a mod takes over slots originally in use by BWA without checking), things could go haywire.

After RaceMenu updating my game began to crash when exiting showracemenu. BWA's overlays was stuck on my character and became broken somehow. So I reinstalled BWA with clean save and now it seems to work fine - characters blush on sex, when naked, in DD restraints, drunken, etc. I have a RaceMenu 3.4.4 and SexLab Aroused Redux 21 installed now. May be this will help you.

The latest NetImmerse Override recommends disabling Face Overlays to stop the CTDs from headless corpses/decapitations in the game.  I am assuming this will disable Blush When Aroused?   Not sure how I can avoid running into the occasional headless body.

That was the whole reason behind the Redux version, the original came with too high a load and fish figured out how to reduce that load dramatically.

You only need to increase the number of overlays if you want to add facial tattoos and use up all the slots with tattoos. This mod needs unused slots since it really applies and then removes a "tattoo".

Yup. I set the inumoverlays= 7. The blush spot should appear in face paint tab when you open racemenu, if done correctly.

Awesome mod! A small suggestion here ,I find that the blush effect will trigger the atronach perk frequently, to avoid this I think you should add the blush spell into the No absorb/reflection flag

The category which BWA used was removed from Racemenu. I wonder if this mod could use the makeup category instead.

For some reason, BWA can't target 'non-locked NPCs' anymore. If I lock an NPC and arouse her, I definitely see her blushing. WTF is going on?? I'm using the latest SL 

 

NVM, I got it working again by reinstalling the mod twice.
