Well for those keeping up with MMORPG news Massively.com by Joystiq is packing its bags thanks to corporate dicks in AOL with about as much taste in gaming as a dung beetle.

Let us have a moment of silence for this site.  If you wanted good MMO news this was where you usually went.  They'll be starting a new site on their own and have a Facebook page along with Twitter.

Sad moment indeed. Massively was among the few sites that reported with honesty and integrity (for the most part).

 

Great to hear they are venturing out on their own though, it merely reinforces that it has always been their philosophy.

They're going to be fine. For the time being most of their staffers are staying on in case they get the project moving sooner rather than later. They've got a kickstarter up to help things along and they've already met their goal.
