Frogeling Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Howdy, this isn't the biggest deal but its fairly size-able to be an annoyance, every now and again when i use a spell the animation plays and the sound plays but no effects appear..for example if i am using a target spell such as Flare against an enemy and i am continuously casting at said enemy every now and again the animation plays but no fireball fires out of my hand as you'd expect (And no i am not out of magicka) same goes for self casting spells such as Protect the animations and audio plays but no buff or effect is shown or given. Anyway, i'll post up a load order once i get back from an errand, thought i just throw it out there until i get back to see if anyone had such a problem and knew a solution.

Sure the effect does not shows up, perhaps after 10 seconds or a Minute later ? If the effect appears later it can be the A-Bomb bug. (Animation bug) spell effects appear after some seconds or more than a Minute later, a fireball needs some minutes to reach the target, secret doors open very slowly, up to 5 real time minutes,...... How long have they played Oblivion ? more than 200 hours ? and many saves ? The A-Bomb bug is a Bethesda save bug. If it is the A-Bomb bug you can fix it with WryeBash ( I don't know how , I don't use WyreBash) or you use this small tool : OAF - Oblivion Animation fixer V1.2 Link here in this thread ! read post 2 ! Fienyx Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 With Wrye Bash, click the "Saves" tab, right click your save and near the bottom of the list is "Repair A-Bomb" Also, do you have lovers satisfaction? That mod seem to cause the spell casting bug for some people.

Actually yes i do have Lovers Satisfaction installed, in fact that is what was causing it.. found it out by slowly disabling mods one by one to see which was it and after turning it off the problem ceased to be a problem but sadly Lovers Satisfaction is a mod i do most enjoy and i'd hate to get rid of it because of something like this. Disabling the mod and rebuilding a Bash patch and then re-enabling Lovers Satisfaction doesn't appear to fix it either, can't seem to find any other mods i have installed to cause this. its quite a frustrating bug, it hinders gameplay maybe even more so for those who have Combat/Difficulty mods and such, hopefully there will be a fix for it soon or if someone else finds a work around.
