Ok, so i have the latest version of Skyrim, SKSE, SkyUI and Sexlab aroused Redux/sex slave. Every time I boot up the game I get two error messages.

"Sky UI error code 1.

Skyrim Script extender (SKSE) is not running.

SkyUI will not work correctly!

This message may also appear if a new Skyrim Patch has been released. In this case, wait until SKSE has been updated, then install the new version,

For help, see the SkyUI mod description."

And the second is:

"Outdated or Skyrim install detected. (not a typo)

Sexlab currently requires Skyrim V1.9.32 or newer in order to function (my current version)

To continue using this mod; you must update your install and reload the game."

I have all required mods for them to work properly, and the latest versions of Each. The dialogue options are there, but I cannot preform and actions nor can I access the MCM. Any help would be appriciated. If you need more info, then let me know.

have you used these mods before?

these errors are usually caused by not installing SKSE properly or not activating SKSE at all.

are you using a mod manager?

if you are not using a mod and just starting the game via the Skyrim launcher, then SKSE is NOT active and you will get these errors

I am using the Nexus mod manager. I have confirmed that it is installed and activated. I even downloaded the latest version today. I am launching the game through the mod manager.

And yes I have used them before but had the same problem. Though at the time I had devious devices installed as well.

ok good.

now lets look at my first question, have you used these mods before and how did you install them.

in particular, how did you install SKSE and FNIS

Always through the mod manager. Add mod from file --> Activate mod. I was also sure to use the "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" file that came with FNIS.

hmmm.

you still haven't told me if you have used SKSE before, only asked to see if you knew how to install it properly, save me telling you things you already know. ;)

anyway if you have used the mod-manager to install SKSE then it most likely won't work.

have a look in your Skyrim data folder, is there another folder in it also called "data".... eg skyrim\data\data.

whenever you install SKSE you have to copy all the SKSE files manually to your Skyrim install folder, not the skyrim data folder.

part of the  SKSE install is a folder called "data", it has to overwrite your data folder.

try that out :shy:

Just to be certain: from NMM you can "Launch Skyrim" or you can "Launch SKSE." You need to launch SKSE, not Skyrim. And also to be clear: these problems you're having are not because of ZAZ or DD.

(Pardon the interruption. :D)

So I installed skse the correct way, and because im a fucking mod noob I had no idea you had the option to launch SKSE through NMM. Thank a million to both of you. No more error messages, and im off to test sexlab and FNIS. You guys are awesome.
