Hey guys,

 

Well, i've been struggling with my mods for more then 2 days now but I just can't seem to get things to work properly so I need some help.

 

If I start the normal launcher it works, however, I'm unable to select my GTX 555 in the settings menu, even if I actually start the game forcing the use of my graphics card it still only picks up on my Intel HD chip, which is weird because my comp does sound like it's going to fly away while running but, well, maybe someone knows what's up with that.

 

Then the problems real problems start.

A friend of mine made his mod organizer install mobile (or something like that) and gave me his gigantic pack so I wouldn't have to install everything manually and could just turn off what I didn't like/really disliked (it's seriously packed with things I have no idea what everything is lol).

The upside of this was that the pack "should work right away" which it did for a couple other friends but not for me...

The major downside of it is that, since the dir is complete and not in the normal spot (I have the Legendary Edition (a LEGIT version, a lot of these problems seem to be related to pirated copies, mine is NOT) so that would be Program files\Bethesda software\Skyrim\Data or something like that) but you can just move it anywhere and run the mod manager and it should work, it however, does not.

The only thing I was told to do was to dump another pack, which where animations, in my Data dir AND in my addon dir and then run the FNIS user program INSIDE my data dir (with all of the animation addons dumped together) because it wouldn't work if I didn't. That seemed to work, atleast, the program coughed up a "bad install dir" but other then that it replaced all my animations properly.

After some messing around myself I used Mod Managers load order changer to order everything around since BOSS isn't able to find my dir because it's portable (which is very annoying because I wanted to use BOSS but oh well),

 

So, if I run my game through the launcher it sort of works but obviously without the plugins. If I run SKSE it crashes on load.

It's seriously driving me nuts that I can't get it to work, as does the fact that it keeps using my crappy Intel HD chip instead of my GTX 555 (latest drivers)!

The first thing that stands out is you are trying to run the Unofficial High Resolution Patch without the HighResTexturePack installed so I'd recommend either installing the HighResTexturePack or removing the Unofficial High Resolution Patch. The second thing is the mod "RayeksEnd.esp" is missing the required master file "paradise_halls.esm" which as far as I understand, a mod trying to run without the required master file is a guaranteed crash. You've got several more errors in this list that describe mod incompatibilities or missing mods that others need in order to work, so I'd read through the list and find try to fix all the incompatible/missing mod errors to start off with and then see if you are able to successfully launch the game.

Alright I removed the HD pack, I noticed I didn't even install it (well, not officially, through plugins I did but not the official pack) and I'm working my way through the errors.

 

I'm leaving all the warnings because, well, there isn't much to do with that I think.

 

I've got most of the errors out now (the 5 or so errors I had turned into 30ish installing new packs so it keeps me busy lol) I'm just stuck on this:

The last missing ones are look like they are missing files for patchus maximus which is a patch file for perkus maximus. I don't use ETaC so I don't know, but on some stuff with perkus maximus you have to make files with program. My best advice is either ask your friend directly or go watch some video's on how to install perkus maximus and how to create patch files for it.

For now I just disabled all of the perkus features. He created all of the overwrite data and such already but either I or he fucked up at some point (most likely me lol).

 

Tried running it just now but I instantly crashed again, the batch window opens, TESV.exe is active for a while and slowly builds up a RAM buffer then it opens at 350MB, I get the skyrim screen and poof it shuts off again.

Removed birds, got the heartfire birds instead. No new errors, still crashes and still doesn't seem to be recognized by my NVIDIA GTX 555, it just runs on my Intel HD which obviously screws things up aswell.

 

Correction, it DOES run the game with my GTX through the launcher now that I added the anti-freeze thingie but it does NOT use the GTX through Mod Manager. Or maybe it does, it's freakin slow though so I doubt it. If I launch the normal game with my GTX it takes about 3 seconds to load, through MM it takes about 5 minutes.

When launching the game, which .exe file is the one being used? For me, I have a Skyrim launch shortcut on my desktop that when I hover the mouse over, it displays "Skyrim (SKSE)". I don't know which .exe MM uses to launch the game, as I haven't used that launcher for a long time but by the fact that you say it takes a long time to launch sounds it through the steam "play" button and has to load all the mods in before being ready to start. This may have nothing to do with your current problem and you may have already sorted this out, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Well launching vanilla skyrim should take a lot less time than the modded one. So it taking longer by MO is not a surprise. 5 mins is way to long, longer yes but not that much longer.

 

I have no idea what is up with your video card, perhaps it is starting to go out? That might be part of your problem.

 

But it sounds like now you can get into the game or is it still crashing at the logo?

I can get into the Vanilla game using both my GTX (which is fairly new btw, came with my alienware comp which is about 2 years old or so) and internal intel HD chip which was impossible before so atleast I won that much.

 

It most likely uses my video card for MO aswell (I'm just right clicking it and saying "use powerful video card" some lame option from Nvidia lol), I think it just auto detects it, I'm not 100% sure though.

It still takes about 3 minutes or so for it to start up, I check Process Hacker while the app is starting up and see SKSE starting, then starting the TESV.exe and watch it slowly build up to roughly 250 MB of memory used, then a small black window opens, I watch the memory go up and the black window turns into a semi full screen skyrim window, then it hits 350MB of RAM usage and pops into full screen mode for about 3 seconds with the Skyrim logo and everything and then it just closes TESV.exe and goes back to my desktop. No trace of anything of the program left running, no errors no nothing.

 

I had to take a break yesterday, was working on it all day already so sorry for the late reply :P

Yeah it's weird since it didn't pick up on my video card at all before I ran the vanilla launcher through my Nvidia menu, it's like a compatibility menu in nvidia software that lists all my games installed, it still says it can't set the best compatibility settings for some weird reason but once I ran it it instantly changed my settings to ultra.

 

As for SKSE I think i'm on version 1.7.1.0 or something, my LOOT says this:

I didn't download the graphics modification file for skyrim. I dropped the dll files from the patch into my skyrim dir and overwrote the existing dlls, I then dropped the 1GB Nvidia ini file from the NBoost zip into the same dir and overwrote it. I noticed someone mentioning changing something in the SKSE ini aswell but I don't seem to have an SKSE ini file so I just forgot about that.

That extra ENB patch you installed isn't needed (especially not anymore). And instead of using the ENBoost INI's from the Nexus, use the ones included in the latest ENB wrapper binaries and adjust them yourself: http://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost

 

The SKSE.ini has to be created by you in the Data\SKSE directory:

Ok that could be a major issue then, if you have a lot of mods you need the SKSE ini memory tweak to avoid crashes.

 

A step by step way how to do it.

 

First go to this folder

SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data/SKSE

 

Also make sure you have file extensions turned on

 

Open notepad and copy the below into it, then save it in the above folder and name is SKSE.

 

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=2048

[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

[Memory]
DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768
ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

 

Once you have done that right click the SKSE file you just made and right click it and select rename then rename it SKSE.ini that will convert it to a ini file. That's it once you have done that you are done and you have the memory patch installed.

Hmmm weird, it seems like it installed all SKSE files in my main skyrim folder, skse_loader.exe, skse_1_9_32.dll etc., just a few files.

The steamapps dir doesn't seem to exist... do remember that I have the Legendary Edition not the standard steam edition.

 

I could make a SKSE ini next to my skse files in the skyrim folder *shrugs* it seems to get all of it's info from there so that might help?

I have the legendary edition too and you should have a SKSE folder, if not create a SKSE folder in the data folder so it ends up looking like below.

 

SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data/SKSE

 

Then as I stated above add the ini file you create to that folder.

 

Edit: Most of the SKSE files should be in the main directory but not everything. Stuff like the ini file and some other mods put things in the SKSE data folder.

That's so weird the entire dir chain doesn't seem to exist..

It looks like it just didn't create the junction point while installing...

 

I just created C:/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data/SKSE manually since the only Data folder I can find is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim\Data.

 

I created the ini, I put it pretty much everywhere, in the SKSE dir, didn't work, in the normal Skyrim dir, nada, in the Skyrim\data nope, and Skyrim\data\SKSE (created that manually) nope.

 

I did get to see that it tries to use my Intel HD chip though, I changed the Window settings so it runs borderless and I noticed some EDB text in the left corner before it crashed to desktop which said "chip used Intel HD blablabla" or something similar right before crashing.

So, I tried to manually run skse_loader.exe which is in my skyrim dir. The game booted, using intel chip again but it works just fine, no addons though.

 

So that means that SDKE works, it for some reason crashes when used together with the mods though... most likely because it doesn't pick up on my graphics card even if I force my comp to start everything with my GTX instead of my HD.

I think most of this is related to my graphics card.

I just tried to run TESV.exe manually with my settings set to always force use my graphics card AND manually selecting compatibility by using the GTX (it's a right click thing) TESV loads perfectly fine but the EBN log in the top left says it's using my Intel HD chip... and something about a speed hack error but that must be something I copied which I shouldn't which isn't a big deal methinks lol.

 

I found the ini though, it looks like my friend preset it already, it was in his pack under C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Mods\Mod Organizer\Mods\SKSE-1.7.1\SKSE

 

I just searched my comp for SKSE.ini haha that works atleast :P.

 

The settings in it seem to be preset already aswell

 

[Display]

[General]

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

Correction, I just noticed that running the game through the Geforce Experience screen, which pretty much loads the launcher first, ends up with NOTHING but the Intel HD in my graphics card options. If I launch it it looks all "windows 95 crappy" with big ass letters and such. The EDB log says it uses the Intel aswell but the game fucks up, it doesn't crash but nothing appears or goes away.

 

Edit: Switching quality back to low from ultra makes the game run again. This means that the previous EDB I had (the one from nexus) made it magically work in ultra mode, on what I think was my intel card.... or something, god I'm clueless at this point, I hate Nvidia, seriously I've had nothing but problems with the cards as far back as manually setting up x.org on linux *sigh*

Yeah something is up with your card. No clue what, I have never had any issues with Nividia and Skyrim, I have had 2 and two of my friends also use different Nividia cards and none of them had issues.

 

It might just be possible you have a defective card. It happens sometimes even brand new computers have bad hardware.

Nah the card works fine, I used to play lots of World of warcraft with it and I still play other games on ultra high def like The Sims 4 and such on it aswell.

No problems there.

 

I've always had issues with Nvidia, this one is most likely the worst though because paying a lot of money for a complete gaming system VS building one yourself just because you're lazy seriously doesn't pay off. The GTX 555 is an OEM model Alienware used, you can't actually buy it anywhere. Most people upgraded to the 560 TI or 650 TI, god knows, I can't remember lol. My games ran fine though, had WoW on 100 fps when I was alone and on about 40-60 fps when I was in a gigantic raid so I didn't really care about upgrading.

The whole system is a piece of shit to be honest, external power source limits you from switching stuff out, most things require you to remove the HDD and buy one that uses less power or remove the DVD RW totally because you only have something like 180 watt that powers the entire system.

 

So anyway, it's obviously a card related issue sooo I hope someone is able to help me out! This really is a bitch, I haven't played a modded game since Half life (way way way back, not counting WoW addons as mods btw :P) so I was really looking forward to it...

Alright it's been a while but I'm going to rez the topic.

 

I bought a micro HDMI to HDMI converter so I could plug my HDMI cable directly into my GTX 555 and that actually worked, costed me 50 cents so that ain't to bad lol.

 

Afterwards I started out with my friends pack, vanilla, no changes. Started it. Works perfectly. No crashes on startup or whatever.

 

I installed a few addons I wanted and it crashes again so I started to work backwards, shutting things off one at a time.

After hours and hours of turning one off and starting the game it turns out to be SexLab Aroused v20140124 is the one causing the first crash. I really wanted that though so I need some help getting this to work anyway.

Same thing happens if I install something simple like Sexlabs Match Maker.

 

If I disable them everything works fine again but it obviously doesn't do anything!

 

What am I doing wrong or what's going wrong.

 

Everything was organized with loot inside MM ofcourse I think Sexlabs.ems ended up as number 12 in my Loot list with 0C as priority while Aroused was 17 with a similar priority number so if I'm not mistaking it is loading in the correct order.

Loot report gives no errors.

 

small edit: I noticed my EDB was outdated so I updated, it now physically crashes with a "skyrim stopped working" window instead of just returning to desktop once Aroused is turned on.

Running normal Sexlabs framework works just fine, it doesn't do anything other then show the menu with the options but it's there.

 

Another edit: been poking around, Zaz Animations crashes it as well. It looks like EVERYTHING that relies on Sexlabs crashes it while Sexlabs shows up just fine in game.

Same goes for JUGs which relies on Zaz and Sex Labs and it crashes on Non Sex labs Animations (the mod) as well.

Loot finds no conflicts or warnings or whatever, running the FNIS app through MM everytime I add textures and it picks up on them, it however, does crash.

 

Help would be much appreciated because I'm pretty much flying blind at this point lol.

Nope I can add anything that doesn't rely on Sex Labs (and other textures I think). It's really weird. I added CBBE and a CBBE 4k nude model. Works perfectly fine.

I tried the "you are unresistable" spell in game to check if sex labs works and it works just fine, searches a bed, or the floor and starts getting it on with herself (had nobody else around to try it with because I started in a sort of dungeon, no idea from which mod lol).

Sounds work, animations work (eventhough the animation seems somewhat weird, she lays facing north for instant and suddenly shifts laying south and then back north again but I think that's just the animation, not really a problem), undressing works, shaking screen on orgasm works so it's not Sex Labs itself.

 

As soon as I enable something like, Aroused, for example though it insta crashes on load.
