Jayce Dimmer Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Howdy lads! Been getting into Oblivion again as of late, so I have taken it upon myself to rewrite the dialogue for LVSSPPlus. I have rewritten over 600 lines so far. Hit a lil' snag though; there are dialog topics that have been untranslated, so they appear as gibberish. Example of the untranslated text: Is there anybody that has access to the translated dialogue? I'd rather have all the dialog redone, than to have some tidbits of gibberish, here and there.
gregathit Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Use the combo of eggtranslator and google translate. First you use eggtranslator to get the text in the Japanese characters from the esp file: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/30907/? Then you can copy and paste that into google translate. You can also copy\past the gibberish if it is a raw file (txt or such) into notepad++ and choose the "encoding" then "character sets" then "Japanese" then "Shift-JIS" and this will show you the Japanese characters, which you can then copy\paste into google translate. Unfortunately much of the plugin uses Japanese slang which is pretty much untranslatable. The stuff that you seeing that is gibberish......I don't think it ever comes up in games, so that is why it was never translated. I eliminated the last of the untranslated topics that come up when I started modding this plugin here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10681-beta-versions-of-lovers-plugins/ I quickly burned out however and never finished all the untranslated stuff.....as it just never seemed to ever come up. Hope this helps! Cheers, Greg
Jayce Dimmer Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 If it doesn't come up, then there's not much point in translating it. Already facing burnout from having done those six hundred lines over three days. 'Ere's hoping that I dinnae take too long in regaining my drive. Tah fer the info, anyhow!
