Read all the FAQs and still they stand there. HELP!

Learned much lately, but not enough I guess. I read the FAQs but I have some problems.

Firstly, I would include Debug reports but I cant get them to generate. I followed the instructions on the FAQ but no folder appears. Anyone know why there would be no debug report, even with the .ini file set to =1 in those areas?

Characters just stand still when an animation is supposed to play, I know this is probably an FNIS issue. Here's what it says when I use the generate tool:

>>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory.<<
FNIS Behavior V5.2   19/01/2015 3:31:06 PM

Skeleton female: Default (99 bones)   male: Default (99 bones)
Patch: "SKELETON Arm Fix"

Reading FNIS V5.2 ...
Reading FNISBase V5.2 ...
Reading FNISCreatureVersion V5.1 ...

All Anim Lists scanned. Generating Behavior Files ...

Create Creature Behaviors ...

129 animations for 3 mods successfully included (character)
 1 Warning(s).

Anyone know what that means?

I've reinstalled just about everything I could think of, and it's all in the most recent versions. I also seem to be missing the Behaviour files from the mesh folder, I'm pretty sure they should be there (based on other threads).

Can someone interpret the FNIS readout? Also I would give a debug report if I could figure out how to generate one.

Thanks.

Well that is not the whole FNIS output because it doesn't show the location Skyrim is being run from for example. A full log is needed.

That is a possible problem.

Also it looks like you have a vanilla skeleton. What mods are you using to trying and start the sex animations?

I had this problem too, two possible issues :

-  your FNIS is not located in Skyrim/data/tool/GenerateFNIS_for_user/...

-  you have a mod manager (MO or NMM) so your mods are not in the data folder but in a sub-folder of you mod manager. When you run FNIS the casual way it checks your data folder (and finds nothing). You have to run FNIS from your mod manager (green and blue gears in the top of the screen for MO, I don't know for NMM)

Maybe both ?

After seeing the log without the path to Skyrim, my first thought was:

"Arrr! Shiver me timbers!"

Might be wrong though...

I actually had to write this out twice because it read the slashes as being a link and I cant post links I guess... I was pressed for time so I just deleted the entire path so I could post before I had to run to work.

Also, I didnt realize Papyrus is a separate Mod, so I'll go download that.

Also, I wasn't running FNIS through MO, so I'll try that too

Who's the noob of the week? This guy.

So, that was the problem, I had to run FNIS through MO and re-install a couple things.

Noob city, but I read the FAQ and guide and I guess I missed it, but maybe it was unclear.

anyway, thanks.

Papyrus isn't a mod Papyrus is a log that shows what mod scripts are running and what might be causing a problem.

The log is in computer/computer brand/users/whatever you put for name/my documents/my games/skyrim/logs/scripts/papyrus logs are here. There should be Papyrus.0.log throughPapyrus.3.log open Papyrus.0.log.  Papyrus.0.log should be the newest log.

No problem! I spent ages figuring it out ^^

And remember this applies to almost every application (CK, TES5Edit etc)
