stalfos81 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Why is the the distortion of letters to an almost unreadable state needed for password reset? I'm currently going through some trouble with my eyes do to a fungal infection of some sort that are causing my retinas to detach. So why does the image need to be in a twisted font that physically hurts me to read? When it could be legible. Anyone needing to reset my password would also need access to the email account I registered with. It took me about 8 attempts to get it right. And that was only possible through a large cycle of possible codes. The audio clues were even more distorted.
InvertedComposer Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 It's to make sure you're human of course, Just refresh it a couple of times and you'll usually find one that's pretty simple
DoctaSax Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Captcha pics like that are usually cycled, sometimes you luck out with legible ones, sometimes you don't. It's unlikely that's a sytem that Ashal has much control over.
