Could someone explain how to use hkxcmd.exe?

I believe the command to export to KF is this:

hkxcmd -exportKF "path\to\skeleton.nif" "path\to\animation.hkx"

And this will extract the KF to the same path as the hkx. No matter what I do it always tells me the skeleton is missing or there's no animation found. I'm trying to export some poses from Pinup Poser.

Edit: I just tried putting all the hkx files and the skeleton.hkx in a folder "c:\anim\" and I ran hkxcmd like this:

hkxcmd exportkf "c:\anim\skeleton.hkx" "c:\anim\"

and it tells me, no animations found, skipping.

Edit 2: I got the files to extract but now 3DS Max is telling me "improper file format" when I try to import them. :-/

I use 3DS Max 2012 with nif plugin 1.6. So any idea what i'm doing wrong here?

Halo uses Blender to create and export his poses, as far as I know, poses made in Blender cannot be imported in 3DS Max, might be wrong tho, it didn't worked for me either.

Use the GUI Version........... its easier for Beginners , But also use the Right Skeleton

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17109/?

Thanks, a bit tricky to use, but works!

Using of the tool:
1. Create an infolder folder in the directory containing ConvertUI.exe.
2. Put skeleton.hkx (and/ or skeleton_female.hkx) into this infolder folder.
3. Put all .hkx animation files you like to convert into this folder.
4. Run ConvertUI.exe and choose the correct converting tab (may be also the right skeleton). Then hit convert button.
5. Click view files button at the output tab. A new folder called outfolder was created containing the new converted files.

Best would be to save it for ourselves in a notepad file.
