Game Saves, Horses, and Dark Faces

The title somewhat explains the problem.  Everytime I create a game save while on horseback then reload that save, my pc appears with the dark face bug.  I thought it was the ENB I was using (K ENB Pure Light), but the bug only happens when saving while on horseback.

 

I'm thinking the game is unable to load the facetints (face customizations always load), but it's puzzling why it only happens on horseback.

 

I have Elin 2, RM v3, and Convient Horses (if they play any part in this), ELFX, and tried K ENB / Sharpshooters / PerformanceXP / Real Performance Full FX / no ENB.

QueueNiNodeUpdate() calls on horse are faulty, more or less the whole function is faulty, but yeah anyone craps that function in is script.

I'm guessing either it can't be fixed or low on the troubleshooting list.  Either way, I'll just have to avoid saving while on horseback.
