Help Needed

Hey there. I'm new to this forum and to modding skyrim, so I'm pretty clueless. I've done everything technical and managed to set up some working mods (SexLab and SexLab aroused, Devious Devices, SpousesEnhanced), but I have no clue how to use them in game. (I'm actually new to Skyrim itself too) What do I need to do? Sorry for asking a question with a more than likely obvious answer, but I'm genuinely stuck. Thanks.

It all depends on what you mean by "use them."

Devious devices, for example, is at base a whole bunch of items that you can put on that have various effects, like slowing your movement, making you not be able to use your hands, etc.

If all you want is the look of the thing, that's what it's there for... but there are other mods (like Deviously Helpless, still on the theme of devious devices) that interact with each other in interesting ways.

That's a pretty limited list. Devious Devices and Spouses Enhanced are the only two that are actually doing anything... I recommend you start with the sexlab index to find out what's out there and determine exactly what you want your game to do.

If you're really, really new to Skyrim and modding it then you've kind of put the cart before the horse here. These mods are finicky at times.

 

What I would suggest is starting at the beginning. The videos here, I'll post the first in the series, will make this all a whole LOT easier and more fun (tearing hair out isn't fun).

 

 

I would not follow the videos' suggestion on using Nexus Mod Manager, though. It can wreck your Skyrim install and make it necessary to reinstall the game from fresh over and over again. That gets old really quickly. I would suggest using Mod Organizer instead of NMM for lots of good reasons, and since you're just getting into all this now is the best time to start learning the best tools. The author of those videos now also suggests MO instead of NMM for installing mods.

 

 

Just get your head wrapped around modding and the tools used then go for the big time! You've already found what is probably the friendliest and most helpful Skryim modding community there is. So go on, learn some tricks and enjoy your game.

Ah, thanks. I'll start reading that. As for the items, I have no idea how to acess them. That's my main problem.
