How to use some follower armor on my character

Hi everyone, I've tried to look for some informations in the past topics, but I couldn't find any. My apologies if my question has been answered before.

 

I've downloaded a follower mod using a custom armor and I'd really like to wear it on my own character. Using the "help" command in the game console, I found the id of the armor, but its skin and model look like some regular vanilla armor.

 

I've never used any modding tool in the past, but does any of you have any idea to easily turn an NPC armor into a character armor?

A mod that you install will be first in the list of armors outfits in the console. So ~ button to open the console and type in the name of the armor/outfit if it is in 2 words use only one of the words then use the pageup pagedown buttons to move the list when you find the one type in player.additem item number then 1 or however many you want then hit ok. 

 

If the armor is for one gender then it might look different if the other gender tries to wear it.

 

If a item is added to the inventory but when you look isn't in there then it is probably set to unplayable so you will have to set it to playable with the (CK) creation kit.
